School Assembly, Friday afternoon, The Auditorium

Josh grinned as he walked out onto the stage. The curtain had been drawn to hide the contents behind and the stage was apparently infinitely malleable to make this work, omg.

"Given yesterday's events, today's assembly seems even more appropriate. We're going to do an old-fashioned battle of the sexes. Pulled completely at random, three guys and three girls will be dragged up here, if necessary, in order to compete for valuable cash and prizes." He paused. "Which we don't have, so the thrill of beating the other team will just have to do."

He waved his hand dramatically and the curtain drew back to reveal an obstacle course. "This contest will test your mind, your body, and your immunity to public humiliation. So, without any further ado, I give you: THE GUYS! Billy, Sam, and Peter Petrelli!" Josh frowned down at his paper. "Who also goes by Steve? I don't get it." He shrugged as he waited for the boys to get up on stage, then flipped to his next card. "And now for the LADIES! I give you Molly, Naomi, and Annette!"

Josh grinned again. "There's a Mickey Mouse Club joke in there, but I think it will date me. Without further ado, let's get on with the show!"

Thunk. He was back down on the floor again.

Molly was muttering the alphabet under her breath as she got into position again.

Head down, feet in the air. She picked up singing where she left off. "S-R-Q, P-O-N."

Aaaand down she went again. "Frell!"

Peter did his best to give a good push up this time.

"RQPONMmmmm damn it!"

He was back on the floor again.

Molly went up again. But, before she could start singing this time, her hand slipped and she fell over. Again.

"I wore a funny bathrobe," Peter pointed out. Because that was totally equal to the pudding thing.

"You're not still wearing it," Molly pointed out in return and stuck her tongue out at him before going into another headstand.

"M-L-K-J-I-H-G," she sang quickly before the inevitable happened and she ended up on the floor again.

Peter tried again.

"LKJIHG - uh - F!"

Thump.

Also it could be argued that he wasn't really getting the notes right.

Molly ran through the song and the remainder of the alphabet and knew that she could finish if she could just stay on her head long enough.

She started singing as soon as she got her feet off the ground. "F-E-D--" she wobbled, "C-BBeee!" She fell over onto her back. "AAAAAA!"

That's it, she was done. "I hope that counts," she said breathlessly."

Peter went for one more go.

"EDCBA!"

Thump back down.

And then, because he was that kinda guy, he quickly fumbled in his pockets for some quarters and tossed them down onto the ground both by his and Molly's head.
