Josh grinned as he walked out onto the stage. The curtain had been drawn to hide the contents behind ~~and the stage was apparently infinitely malleable to make this work, omg~~.

"Given yesterday's events, today's assembly seems even more appropriate. We're going to do an old-fashioned battle of the sexes. Pulled completely at random, three guys and three girls will be dragged up here, if necessary, in order to compete for valuable cash and prizes." He paused. "Which we don't have, so the thrill of beating the other team will just have to do."

He waved his hand dramatically and the curtain drew back to reveal an obstacle course. "This contest will test your mind, your body, and your immunity to public humiliation. So, without any further ado, I give you: THE GUYS! Billy, Sam, and Peter Petrelli!" Josh frowned down at his paper. "Who also goes by Steve? I don't get it." He shrugged as he waited for the boys to get up on stage, then flipped to his next card. "And now for the LADIES! I give you Molly, Naomi, and Annette!"

Josh grinned again. "There's a Mickey Mouse Club joke in there, but I think it will date me. Without further ado, let's get on with the show!"

"You all know how obstacle courses work, of course," Josh said. "We have six tasks, which means that each of you will get to perform twice. When you have either answered the question correctly, completely the physical challenge, or embarrassed yourself enough to register on our Humili-tron, a buzzer will sound and the next teammate will be free to move onto the next task. Your teammates are free to offer advice and encouragement, but the actual task can only be finished by one member of the team. Ready?" Josh didn't wait for an answer. "Good!"

"This first question is a battle of wits. You must complete the following limerick in a way that makes me smile.

'There once was a man from Nantucket...'"

The next task," Josh said, pointing it out, "is one of physical dexterity. You see before you $240 worth of pudding."

It was, indeed, a very, very large pile of pudding.

"You must race each through the pile of pudding to reach your team member on the other side."

He held up two set of scuba flippers. "And you must do it wearing these. On your feet. Because over each ear isn't as fun."

Josh pointed out a small stage midway through the obstacle course. "You might have noticed that it's been raining quite a bit in recent days. So we're working with that. Your job is to reenact a dance sequence from ~~Singing in the Rain~~ "Falala in the Flood" using only the objects found in the chest. You have to make the bell ring on the Humili-tron in order to move on."

[OOC: In the chest you'll find pink fluffy parasols, bathrobes with children's cartoons on them, a plush duckie costume and sombreros.]

Josh moved on to two giant gerbil wheels. "You have to run around in these until the color bar on the side of them moves from blue," which was at the bottom, "to red," at the top.

He grinned. "To make the task more challenging, the fast you run, the louder the speakers inside the wheel will sing "It's a Small World."

And at the end, they'd both get doused in slime, but Josh didn't see how that could be important.

"This one is here only because it amuses me," Josh said with a wicked grin. "You have to stand on your heads and recite the alphabet backwards to the tune of "Mary Had a Little Lamb." I was told trying to get you to spit quarters out your ears was physically impossible, so you get bonus points if you can manage that, too."

At the very end of the obstacle course was a statue of a very familiar girl with a cat on her shoulder.

Josh grinned. "Our illustrious Student Council President needed to feel a part of things, despite her current conditions. Your final task is to decorate her and Faithful using the ~~totally modable~~ objects found in chest next to them."

Offer advice! Duck the slime! Catcall, place bets! You know how this works!

Go out, git!

Like Buffy would say no to a chance to a chance to cheer. "Yay Molly! Wooo Annette!"

If dying of embarrassment was a part of the obstacle course, Sam looked like he'd do just fine.

"Is this my karma for teasing you yesterday?" Peter asked him. He had his hands shoved in his pockets to help make sure he didn't accidentally touch anybody.

"I don't know, but I'm perfectly happy going with that excuse," Sam replied. "That doesn't explain why I'm up here though."

"Natural charm?"

"...okay, that was a good answer."

Peter gave a small bow. "Okay, we're better than the girls because... I don't think any of the girls could pull off a name like Steve the way I do."

Molly grinned and quickly went up on stage. This looked like it was going to be fun.
