Tremble Foolish Mortals: The Gods and You , Class Eight [Period 5, Thursday]

Looking completely unfazed by the fact he was now not so much a god as a goddess, Ares addressed the class. "Today's class is on Hades, Lord of the Underworld, and what we on Olympus liked to refer to as a loser."

He leant back against his desk. "Don't be fooled by the whole Vice Principal thing, as gods go, he's pretty much a joke, on his watch dead souls were always escaping, being missorted, taking the place over, and more than that, he was whipped. Seriously whipped. He let his mother-in-law set the terms of his marriage. I mean really, no booty six months out of the year?"

"So today's activity is to dicuss the various ways in which Hades is a loser." He looked around the much more female class and grinned. "Then make out with each other."

Steerpike was staring at Annette, wondering if this was part of what had turned her and many of her classmates into girls.

Blair saw the pretty girl staring at him and he waved.

Steerpike stared more. "Annette?"

Blair shook his head no, offering, "Blair." And after her day? Annette just didn't want to know this pretty girls name. No she did not.

"You sure are cute." Happy bounce.

". . . Have you lost your mind?"

"...have you?" Was this a test? Blair looked around him carefully before he looked back at her.

"It's beginning to look like a possibility. You're Annette. You're one of the few people on this campus I thought I really knew."

Man, this lying sucked!

"Blair. Blair Sandburg. I...don't know you?"

"What are you playing at? I know who you are."

"No you don't." Blair wrapped a strand of hair around his finger and began twirling it cause Annette was just a little bit nervous about this girly person who thought they knew her.

Steerpike rolled her eyes. "You turned into a fluffy bunny in class, before. You had a present for me, which, I admit, was never delivered. You're Annette, I'm Steerpike, and this campus has gone absolutely mad. I admit, it was only a matter of time. . . ."

"I did not. I don't know what you're talking about. Am not. Oh god. And yes, I agree with you there."

It took a moment for Steerpike to decifer that one. "Did you just say 'oh god' to me being Steerpike?"

Blair might have whimpered. "No?"

"You most certainly did, assuming you were following the order of my statements. Why?!"

Steerpike was cute when she was angry. Annette didn't think noting that would help her situation at all though.

"Can you believe we have to make-out? I don't want an F but come on, man." Yes, ignorning the question always worked wonders! Happy Bounce bounce bounce.

". . . Are you offering to partner up?" Steerpike was still stuck on the 'oh god' statement. Annette didn't want her, now that she was a girl. She wasn't certain Annette wanted her when she was a boy, come to think of it. She had been considering sparing her from her plans, but now . . . well, she would give Annette one more chance, at least.

Blair blinked at that. He hadn't considered that at all. But, it would prove that he was Blair, right? Okay, trying to come off as Blair. M should really appreciate this.

"...okay?"

"Oh, good. I had not been looking forward to attempting to do the assignment with someone I did not know."

"...then you're good with it? The making out?" Blair bounced and whispered. "I have to admit though, I've not made out in a really long time."

Steerpike leaned in, somewhat amused. "Nor have I. But that only means we'll be on the same level of experience."
