Tremble Foolish Mortals: The Gods and You , Class Eight [Period 5, Thursday]

Looking completely unfazed by the fact he was now not so much a god as a goddess, Ares addressed the class. "Today's class is on Hades, Lord of the Underworld, and what we on Olympus liked to refer to as a loser."

He leant back against his desk. "Don't be fooled by the whole Vice Principal thing, as gods go, he's pretty much a joke, on his watch dead souls were always escaping, being missorted, taking the place over, and more than that, he was whipped. Seriously whipped. He let his mother-in-law set the terms of his marriage. I mean really, no booty six months out of the year?"

"So today's activity is to dicuss the various ways in which Hades is a loser." He looked around the much more female class and grinned. "Then make out with each other."

Somehow, Sam found Ares being a female much more brain-breaky than Jack. She may have been glancing around and trying to figure out which of the new "girls" was Kawalsky, though.

Kawalsky threw a wad of paper at Sam.

Well, that answered that question. Sam turned in her seat to face Kawalsky and she grinned at him. "Very nice. How're you enjoying Fandom this morning?"

"Lighter, but I feel like I should be asking people if this outfit makes me look fat." Charlie grinned. "How do I look?"

Charlie gave Sam a thumbs up. "This is probably even weirder than the penguin thing, but hell if it's not fun."

Sam smiled a not completely PG-rated smile. "Yeah, it's not as bad as I thought it would be. And what do you mean, it's weirder to be a girl than a penguin?"

Thankfully, Kawalsky didn't catch onto what Sam meant, so he didn't need to reach for the brain bleach. "I was a penguin that one weekend where everyone changed into other people and things. At least with that, I wasn't me. It was like an out of body experience. This? This is more weird because it's me, but with different parts and a craving for cookie dough ice cream."

The craving was totally in his head.

"The cookie dough ice cream craving will pass," she said, laughing, "although it may be supplanted by an overwhelming desire for dark chocolate and salt and vinegar potato chips."

"Then my job here is done." Sam smirked. "No, seriously, you're adjusting okay? How's Alanna taking it?"

"I figure it's not permanent, so I'm not worried. Weirdness of Fandom, right? Besides, someone'll get sick of the whole hormone overload and not wanna deal with guys figuring out how to be girls, so they'll fix it. Alanna's missing out on all this, though. She got turned into a statue. Again. Probably good for her if this rain keeps up. She's not big on water."

"Again?" Sam stared at him. "Yikes. And no, I guess this is a good thing for her, then. And I hope so--I really have no interest in going to an all-girl school. I do wonder if it's fixable, though."
