Alpha Beta Gremlin Meeting, Tuesday [6:00 PM FHT]

Summer smiled at everyone as they arrived. "Hi! So today, we're gonna start planning for our first service project. Majority says we'll be helping to improve the nature trails in the preserve. Which means we should probably start planning how exactly to do that."

"Obviously, it's too cold now, but spring will be here in a few weeks," she continued. "So that seems like the ideal time to do this. Also, we still need to plan a fun social activity. I think most of you were interested in a movie night with shirtless boys. And glitter."

She pointed to a nearby table. "There's pizza and baked goods over there. Feel free to mingle and stuff."

"I...would imagine, but not real sure." She shrugged a shoulder and took another bite. "It's good. I don't think my stomach cares too much where it came from. But if I have to order pizza for any reason? I'm going with the Pizza Planet. If I'm cooking it, it's coming frozen from Turtle & Sundries."

Turtle grinned, nodding a bit, glad to hear that Annette would take her pizza cooking needs to the store, but, really, where else would she go? "Same here. I'm not much of a cook."

"Me neither." Annette made a face. "Not sure if I will ever be. Oh, crap, I forgot, I'm getting baking lessons starting the end of this week."

Turtle snorted a little bit of a laugh. "Hope you will be soon, then, otherwise, what a waste of a lesson..."

Annette laughed, "Yes, well, you're right."

"Who's teaching you? And what do you think you'll attempt to bake?"

"Aziraphale, and I think he said we are going to start out with ginger snaps, because their easy." She knitted her brows a little. "I hope he is right. I would hate to burn anything." Or anyone...

"You'll have to let me know how they turn out," Turtle smirked. "But, please. Let me know before you offer me any."

...and she was just about to tell her she would bring her a few samples. Chuckling, she asked, "And you're going to trust my judgment?"

And that was a good point. Turtle shrugged. "You have an honest face?" she offered. And Annette did. Annette kinda reminded her of her sister, and Angela couldn't tell a lie if her life depended on it.

...Okay. Maybe then.

"That'll work. Okay, I'll let you know how they are first before I offer you any." She tilted her head and grinned. "But I bet you'll be asking me for more."

Turtle quirked an eyebrow. "Bet? How much?"

Annette blinked, then she got this little devious look in her eye. "Name your price."

"Five bucks says I will absolutely not be requesting a second ginger snap."

"But how can I believe that? You could just say that to get my five bucks." She said with raised brow.

"This is true," Turtle said. "But you did say that you'd bet that I would ask for another. I'm just asking you to put your money where your mouth is. Or where mine will be."

"True, true. All right then, five says you won't ask for a second. Ten says you'll ask for at least three. And to make the bet spicy, why don't we add three bucks to every cookie you ask for after that? Agree?"

"Wait, wait, wait," Turtle held up a hand. "So, if I ask for more, you could potentially earn fifteen plus dollars, but if I don't, I'm still stuck with a measely five? And only one potentially good gingersnap on top of it? That's hardly even."

Annette twisted her lips and thought about it. "Okay, what would make it even? I mean if you like my cookies and want more, shouldn't I get something? If we're betting?" She might have started to lose sight on the original bet.

"But the bet isn't so much about me liking your cookies, it's more about my willpower to refuse more if I do like them," Turtle reminded her. "And if I do like them, but am still able to hold myself back from more, you gain knowledge in the fact that you actually can learn to cook and, really, isn't that much more valuable than money any day?"

Turtle? Didn't believe that for a second. But it sounded good, at any rate.

"Is it? And I would have to trust that, wouldn't I? And if you do like them but hold yourself back, how would I really know that you like them just by you saying so if you don't actually ask me for more? See, that could really be a blow to my cooking ego." She nodded, trying to understand what she actually just said.

"And we don't have to bet money." She grinned wide.

That last statement blew anything else Turtle would have to say right out of the water.

"Not bet money? Are you crazy, woman? What else would we bet, stock options?" There was a small scoff.

"There are other things more valuable." She pointed out with a smirk. "And okay, if this bet is to be worth something to you too, we must come up with a way for you to be able to earn more than just a mere five bucks."

"I just say we stick with the orginal bet; I ask for another, you get five bucks. I don't, I get five bucks. Pure and simple, straight to the point." She nodded.

"Easy and simple. Maybe there will come a day when we can raise the stakes on something better than ginger snaps." She grinned. "But you're on."
