Detention, Saturday, February 24

As the students entered the Danger Shop, they noticed that they were on a rooftop with The Tick standing at the edge of the roof overlooking the cityscape. He held a clipboard in one hand.

Katara
Sokka
Samantha Carter
Melaka Fray
Charles Kawalsky
Ray Kowalski
Alex Krycek
Jaye Tyler
Will Vandom
Turtle Wexler
Layla Williams

When everyone had shown up, he turned around and smiled. "Good morning, detentioned students! I am The Tick and I shall be your detention instructor today! Today I'll be showing you the ins and outs of Wrong. You see this city? It's based on The City, my Home Away From Fandom! The City is known for many things. Good diners. Science that is both mad and beneficial. And the never-ending struggle between good and evil, all dressed up in tights! Since you're here, it's assumed that you may be branching out to the evil side of that struggle, so I'm going to show you first-hand that crime doesn't pay!"

"You'll be undergoing a series of simulations as the villain. When you try to do your dastardly deeds, a random hero of The City will come out to thwart you! Don't take these thwartings personally, though. It's our job. The superhero is the Telemarketer of Justice and villains are sitting at home, not expecting to be bothered, but bothered they are because their home is a robot that's destroying a bank and then a call comes asking if you'd like to order some law! And the villain says no, but after some stuggle he's convinced to do so! The only difference here is that instead of better rates on their phone bill or weekdays AND Sundays for newspaper delivery, they just purchased a stay in prison."

"There are some costumes in a box there if you really want to get into the whole theme, but they're optional and completely school appropriate."

[OOC: Sorry for getting it up a little later than intended. Writer's block followed by icon making = slight delay. I'll be around all day. Playing 17 NPCs. *sighs at self*

Information on the heroes can be found here and a videoclip with some of them is here!

For the record, I know there are people who will be signing in late in the day. I am totally cool with that. I never want to stop playing this detention until my brain explodes, so I'm good to play it out however long it takes. :D]

Turtle ditched the cape and found herself a clipboard and a fake pair of glasses. She pushed them up her nose as she approached Doorman. "I'm with the city zoning board; we have reasons to believe that the structural compotants of this particular establishment might be subject to a lesser known law recently discovered from 1932. They've sent me over to come have a looksee."

Hey, it worked for fairy tales class well enough...

Turtle had been expecting such a maneuver. "I actually can't work during the day because I have a skin condition that doesn't allow me to be in the sunlight." She shoved the glasses back up her nose. "However, I'm the only one at the office qualified for this sort of task. I will be quick about it, and, of course, discreet. You'll barely notice I'm there."

Until I blow up the place. Mwa ha ha.

Mel decided that if it worked for Wyatt it should work with this guy.

She walked up to the doorman with and exagerrated hip motion and leaned over to show off her cleavage.

"Hi," she said breathlessly.

Mel pouted. Cutely. "But I found of an army of vampires, destroyed a giant lizard and prevented the gates of hell from opening on earth. Doesn't that count?"

Katara tried to just walk past the Doorman.

She frowned. "I'm a hero. Who says I'm not?"

Super strong, Sokka noted, but the Tick didn't mention anything about super fast.

So, he ducked his head, bounced on his toes a few times, and charged at top speed, trying to get around Doorman, and preparing to dodge like mad.

Sam had tucked her shirt tightly into her pants, ruffled her hair, and sauntered up to the doorman.

"How do you define superhero?" Sam pouted.

Kawalsky pulled his shirt off and strutted up to the front door. "Strip-o-gram."

"Not for YOU." He looked at a piece of paper from out of his pocket, then shoved it back into his pocket. He pulled a random name he'd heard from people who had taken Tick's classes. "I'm here for American Maid."

Layla had a little more hope about succeeding at this activity, and approached the door looking as innocent as possible.

"I need to go inside," she said, pointing to the Comet Club's door. "I have friends who are waiting for me and I'm already running late from having to rescue a kitten from a tree on my way over here and I'm afraid they're going to get worried if I don't show up soon."

Will could only come up with one way to get in past The Doorman. She put a pained expression on her face, and shuffled uncomfortably up to the door.

"Um, excuse me?"

She ran a hand through her hair, and tried to look as uncomfortable as she could. "This is kind of embarrassing, but .. do you have a bathroom in there? See, my period's just started and I need to take some Midol and, y'know deal with the other thing right away."

She looked at The Doorman in desperation. "Please?"
