School Assembly, Friday afternoon, The Auditorium

For today's assembly, there were eleven chairs set up on one half of the stage, a microphone at center stage and a table with several books piled on it one the other half of the stage. When everyone in the audience was seated, a small, blue figure strode onto the stage. "Hello der," it said. "Me Cookie Monster. De following people please to come up on stage and be in spelling bee. Is impromptu."

He cleared his throat and pronounced the names carefully. "JC Broots, Dick Casablancas, Demyx, Zero Hopeless-Savage, Pippi Longstocking, Ami Mizuno, Stealtrike, Tannim, Valentine, Naomi Wildman, and Matilda Wormwood."

Once they were all up on stage, he went to sit behind the table and gave them their instructions. "Me say word, you say word, you spell word, you say word again. If you right, you get cookie and go to next round."

Before Cookie Monster could begin the next round, a loud buzzing sound could be heard. Without further warning, a swarm of bees rushed the stage, chasing after anyone who dared remain there.

The swarm moved up to the microphone and began to speak in harmony although many lingered around the audience.

"Helloooooo, zzzzzztudentzzzzzzz! Weeee are the zzzzpelling beeeeeeezzz! Your zzzzzpelllliiing and grammmmmar zzzkillzzzz do not imprezzzzzzz or pleazzzzzzze uzzzzzz! You take your ability to zzzzpeak for granted! Mozzzzzt of our couzzzzzzinzzzzz can't zzzzzzpeak at alllllll! Yet your diction often leavezzzzzz much to be dezzzzzzired, and what'zzzzzz with pronounzzzzing your 'S'ezzzzz without the proper 'zzzzzz' zzzzzzound?"

They droned on and on like this for a good long time.

If you get stung, you will randomly spell words that you speak throughout the day. The more stings you receive, the more frequently you are compelled to spell words. Mod the bees as you will.]

"BOOOOOOOOO! GET OFF THE STAGE!" Sokka yelled from his seat, making threatening gestures with his fist.

One of the bees, apparently just as angry at Sokka as he was at them, flew over and stung him.

"OW! Stupid bee!!! B-E-E." Sokka blinked. "Did I just...? J-U-S-T." A sly smile appeared on his face and started growing.

"Serendipity!" he said, and crossed his fingers. ... A few seconds passed. "Oh, MAN!" he muttered, sadly.

"S-E-R-E-N-D-I-P-I-T-Y O-H M-A-N."

The sly smile was back. And growing. Sokka grinned ear-to-ear and let out a whoop.

Then he charged the stage, yelling, and started swatting at bees.

"Keeeeeeyaah!!! K-E-E-E-E-E-E-Y-A-A-H. Hwaaah! H-W-A-A-A-H. Hiiii-ya! H-I-I-I-I-Y-A. OW, you son of a-- O-W Y-O-U S-O-N O-F A."

Oh, man, learning to spell hurt like a MOTHER!

Ami ran away form the bees. Bees were scary. She ran off the stage, swatting at the bees that buzzed around her. One stung her in the arm. "Ow. O-W." Well, that didn't bode well.

Billy leaped from the audience, removing his jacket as he dashed to Ami's side. When he got there he whipped the jacket around to ward off the buzzing insects.

"You get stung?"

*poit!*

"Sonofa!"

"Ow! Yes, I think so." she said grateful for the jacket. "Thank you, T-H-A-N-K Y-O-U. Be careful!" What the heck? Why was she spelling still?

"No problem. You're not allergic a-l-l-e-r-g-i-c are you?" Heh?

Ami shook her head. "No. Why are we spelling S-P-E-L-L-I-N-G everything?

"Eh. E-h. Fandom." He was managing to keep most of the bees away, at least it seemed so.

"We should get G-E-T out of here." Ami suggested. She didn't really want to think about what more bees would mean.

"Uh Huh." Billy agreed. "Aitch you aitch." He kept a path clear for their escape.

And so they escaped. Mostly silently, due to the weirdness.
