School Assembly, Friday afternoon, The Auditorium

For today's assembly, there were eleven chairs set up on one half of the stage, a microphone at center stage and a table with several books piled on it one the other half of the stage. When everyone in the audience was seated, a small, blue figure strode onto the stage. "Hello der," it said. "Me Cookie Monster. De following people please to come up on stage and be in spelling bee. Is impromptu."

He cleared his throat and pronounced the names carefully. "JC Broots, Dick Casablancas, Demyx, Zero Hopeless-Savage, Pippi Longstocking, Ami Mizuno, Stealtrike, Tannim, Valentine, Naomi Wildman, and Matilda Wormwood."

Once they were all up on stage, he went to sit behind the table and gave them their instructions. "Me say word, you say word, you spell word, you say word again. If you right, you get cookie and go to next round."

Setsuna didn't have anything better to do; she found a seat near the back, and went over swords techniques in her head while she waited for the assembly to begin. Knowing she had trouble with English spelling, she figured this would be interesting.

Grins set, the twins found a seat near Setsuna. "Yo! Setsuna!"

Setsuna smiled back. "Hikaru! Kaoru! Hello!"

Hikaru snerked a little and looked around. "Think we should liven this place up a little? Start a wave or cheer or something?"

Setsuna slid a skeptical eye shut. "A wave or a cheer? You two go ahead. I'll just watch. Maybe critique your style."

"We get a critique? Might as well make it good then." As soon as Kaoru'd said it, both him and Hikaru stood up, waving their arms wildly over their heads and shouting as loud as they could, "WHOO! Go Matilda!!" They kept waving around, getting their entire bodies into the waving motion.

And Setsuna may have shifted slightly, stratically placing herself behind the wavering twins so that no one could relaly see her.

Hikaru glanced back with a smirk. He wasn't gonna let her pretend like she wasn't associated with them.

"YEAH! Setsuna's here to support too!!! See?!" Both stepped aside so that Setsuna was in clear view, both pointing back at her just to emphasize.

Setsuna sighed and then, with a bit of reluctance, made a small little circle in the air with her finger.

Both sat down again and smirked, "How exciting." They said with heavy sarcasm. The only reason they were there, at all, was Matilda. Setsuna was totally a bonus.

Setsuna grinned a little wryly. "You two should be glad you got anything out of me at all. But you caught me in a good mood."

"Good mood, huh?" They pat her on the shoulder. "Things been going well?" Kaoru asked, more as a general question.

"Very well," Setsuna nodded, and that was when the blush started to creep in a little, her wry smile turned a wee bit dopey. "How have you two been?"

They exchanged glances quickly before nodding in agreement, "It's been fine. Same-old, same-old." Kaoru shrugged.

"That's good," Setsuna said simply, pleasant, her head bobbing congenially while her mind was obviously elsewhere...

...her and Ranma were going to room together next semester, heeeeeee~.
