Sam was on the lookout for any attacking coconuts as he went to open the library. Sure, they were probably gone by now, but he wasn't dropping his guard just yet.

"How do you manage to sound so sure about that when you really don't know?"

"Because I know Dad and I know how he feels about you," Dean said with a shrug.

Sam wanted to remind Dean that his opinion of how their dad felt about him was exaggerated, but he didn't feel like arguing right now. "Maybe. I still have to figure out when to tell him. We don't have the same ways to figure out when he's in a good mood as we used to."

"He seems to be in a good mood a lot more lately," Dean observed. "Probably because he's getting laid."

"Ugh, did you have to put it like that?" Sam asked, looking grossed out.

"Well he is," Dean said. "Or do I have to explain where babies come from to you again?"

"I know where babies come from," Sam replied. "I don't think they're supposed to do that while she's pregnant though."

"Where the hell did you get that idea from?"

"I don't know," Sam admitted. "It just seems sort of logical."

"Logical."

The more Sam thought about it, the more it didn't seem so logical anymore. "Well, maybe they can still...you know, in the first few months. But once Zoe starts getting bigger...and even before then there's got to be some weird poking going on or...I'm going to stop talking now."

Dean chuckled. "Weird poking?"

"When the baby gets bigger, if they have sex..." Sam trailed off, hoping that would be enough of an explanation without more details.

"What, you think it'll be watching?" Dean snickered.

"I don't know what it'll be doing! All I know is that sex with pregnant women is just wrong."

Dean laughed again. "You going to tell Zoe and Dad that?"

"Do I look that stupid? Of course not."

"Well, y'know, you seem so concerned they're doing something wrong," Dean said with an attempt at a straight face.

"We don't know that they're still doing it though," Sam pointed out. "Zoe seems like a smart woman. Maybe she knows it's wrong too, and she's cutting Dad off."

"Nah," Dean said. "Dad's in too good a mood."

"And you're sure that's a regular thing?" Sam asked. "Because if I go to talk to him, and it turns out he's in a really foul mood, I'm blaming you."

"You've seen him as much as I have," Dean pointed out. "Don't you think he's been in a good mood a lot lately?"

"Yeah, he has seemed abnormally happy," Sam admitted. "And that's been on a regular basis."

"I rest my case," Dean said with a smug smirk.

The smug look made Sam feel at least a little better. "I shouldn't be this worried about talking to him, should I?" he asked, as more than just a rhetorical question.
