Library [02/02]

Rory came in bright and early and smacked a poster on the door before positioning herself behind the desk as usual with her coffee.

She grabbed a stack of books, and spent the day deep in research - both her own personal problem, and for the problems with the shadows.

[I'm AFK most of the day, so please mod Rory if you need help with something. Wait for OCD is up and a little different today. Please wait for further OCD on the specific research thread, as it will be coming later while I am unconscious and people in Europe are not. That OCD is up, too! Whooooo!]

"I won't tell Rory," Luke promised, taking a sip immediately from the mug. "I hate being cold," he complained.

Then he blinked. "Wait. Chocolate fights evil?"

Katara was just tactful enough not to tell the translucent person that she liked being cold. So she nodded. "That's what Dr. Orpheus says. He said it helps people recover from attacks of dark magic. And I don't know what this all is, but Tori said they were shadows, and that's dark..."

Luke snickered. "Maybe someone should bring Darth Vader some chocolate," he commented.

"And they were shadows," he added more helpfully. "It came out from under my bed. Just like Aunt Beru promised would never happen."

She grinned. "Could bring him hot chocolate maybe. With ice cream!"

"Teddy said they came out from under Chad's bed last night," she shuddered. "I think I'm staying out of the room until we make them all go back to wherever they came from."

Luke moved a little closer, both for warmth and for the comfort of human contact. "Artoo's been zapping everything in sight, and not in sight, since it happened," he said. "My bedspread's a little charred."

"Awwww, he's worried about about you!" Katara said, picturing Artoo as a strangely shaped flying lemur. "I wonder if that would drive them off. Maybe if he had a light?"

"He does," Luke said with a fond smile. "I made him turn it off last night when I was trying to sleep."

Katara smiled back. "I had a friend like that once. But he was a flying lemur."

Luke laughed. "No, Artoo's not a lemur."

Luke had no idea what a lemur was, either, but he was pretty sure that didn't matter.

She shook her head. "I don't think he's as cuddly as Momo."

"Artoo would argue otherwise," Luke said with a laugh, "but I agree with you."
