Extraterrestrial Civilizations - Class 4 [1/31, Period 4]

This afternoon found Ellie's desk surrounded by half a dozen stocky teddy-bear like creatures, poking at everything they could get their hands on. Ellie snatched a calculator away from one, giving him a warning look, and addressed the class. "Today's guests are Ewoks from the moon of Endor. They don't speak our language, but fortunagely they have a protocol droid with them to translate." She gestured to the silvery humanoid robot who now moved forward.

"Please give the Ewoks your attention," Ellie continued. "And remember, they may look cuddly, but they're not mere teddy bears."

Summer couldn't help staring at the Ewoks. They were so cute. She figured she probably shouldn't say that out loud.

One of the Ewoks looked Summer over and tried to take her hand to lead her away with him, chittering excitedly.

The droid translated for the Ewok. "It seems he thinks you are lovely, and wants you to come home with him," it said, sounding almost embarrassed.

Summer couldn't help giggling a little. "I'm flattered and all, I think, but I'm gonna have to stay here."
