When the students came in Ares was sitting at the front of the room throwing energy bolts at a number of scurrying action figures, whenever one connected he would start giggling in a most ungod-like manner.

When he finally noticed his class, Ares stood up. "Firstly, I would just like to say that anyone who wants detention for the rest of the semester just has to mention last weekend, white leather, or the L-word."

"Now that we've got that out of the way, Today we are going to be talking about Zeus and Hera, the King and Queen of the Gods, and my parents, so no disrespect from you brats."

Aphrodite	If the class had been paying any attention to Ares, they would have noticed a blonde woman appear in a brilliant flash of pink light and glitter behind him.
Ares	Ares stopped mid-sentence. "Oh, no."
Aphrodite	Which would be when the blonde tackled Ares with a hug. "Ar!" she squealed happily.
Ares	"Aphrodite," Ares replied flatly, returning the hug awkwardly. "What are you doing here?"
Aphrodite	"Visiting you silly," Aphrodite replied.
Ares	"Why right now?" Ares asked. "Can't you see I'm in the middle of class?"
Aphrodite	"I can see that," Aphrodite said and waved to the class. "Hey little dudes and babes." "That's why I'm here, I hear you were teaching a class about the fam and thought I could give my bro a hand."
Ares	"And how exactly do you propose to do that?" Ares hissed. "They're vicious little vipers who won't listen to the Goddess of Love."
Aphrodite	"You willing to bet on that?"
Ares	"Sure," Ares threw his hands in the air. "Why not?" "Kids," he pointed to the class. "This is my sister, Aphrodite, Goddess of mumble. Play nice with her."
Aphrodite	"Okay, little groovers," Aphrodite, addressed the class. "I'm Aphrodite, Goddess of Love. Now I know what you guys are thinking, how does she get her hair like that? The answer, my friends, is well, Goddess." "Now some of you dudes have the look of being weetiny warrior dudes and babe, and that's cool, but I know that there's often a perception among the sword and leather types of Love being weak," she said. "And I'm afraid that that can't be further from the truth." "Don't believe me?" she said. "Well, you've obviously never seen the results of unconstrained uncontrolled, overwhelming love, or lust as the case may be, why I remember the time someone-who-shall-remain-nameless got hold of my baby boy Cupid's arrows..." Aphrodite stopped as a wee glittery lightbulb went off over her head. "Dudes, I have has the most bodacious idea, instead of me telling you about this kind of thing, we're going to demonstrate." She turned to Ares. "Bro, you got a class list?"
Ares	From over at his desk where he'd started drinking heavily when the lightbulb went off, Ares gestured and the roster appeared in glowing letters.
Aphrodite	Aphrodite clicked her fingers a second list of names appeared next to the first. "Okay, student dudes, you see the name after yours?" Aphrodite asked. "For the rest of the class, you are madly, deeply in love and-slash-or lust with that person, and you want nothing more than to be with that person, not dirty. Okay, you're not really, but I want you all to act like you are to the best of your abilities." "Got that? Rock on."

Anders made a tiny whimpering noise. "I am, really," he said, trying to remind himself to breathe and not flail. Okay, not just flail. "And . . . you're really sweet and everything."

He had no concept whatsoever of acting techniques, but he did decide to be in the moment right about then. So yes, he leaned in to kiss her.

There was always a But following ...and everything when it came from a guy. Or girl, she considered a bit wryly.

So she was very surprised when Anders leaned in to kiss her. Inside she was flailing like crazy cause, uh, this was just a class! And she had no idea if he had a girlfriend or anything or just someone he was close to and... Oh no...

Annette closed her eyes when he came forward, and she actually lifted a hand to his cheek when his mouth met hers.

Anders kept his mind very firmly on the prospect of a good grade, but for theatricality's sake -- maybe encouraged just a bit by Annette's hand on his face -- he made the kiss a good one.

"Think we'll get a good grade for that?" he asked in a low voice, grinning.

The kiss was good; it nearly curled her toes. And her eyes were a bit glazed over when she looked up at him. "We better. I don't think it would be a good idea to have sex right here in the middle of the classroom." She grinned, winking at him.

And there went the last of Anders's composure. He didn't start squeaking again, thank the Lords of Kobol, but he did have to clear his throat a few times. "Yeah, that sort of thing gets you in trouble around here," he said lightly. "And I get this feeling that Aphrodite would be watching with popcorn, and that always kills the mood."

She smiled at him. "It would certainly kill the mood. Most likely she would try to give me pointers." Er...

"So, you are good with me loving you right?" She had no idea how long they were supposed to keep this up. "...and you might even want me a little?" Because that really had to count for a good grade - getting him to want her back. Wasn't that the purpose behind the exercise?

"Sure," Anders replied -- really hoping that nobody else interpreted this as anything other than a class exercise. Certain demons he could think of were insanely possessive. "I'm fine with that, and yeah, I might."

Argh, this was awkward.

She feigned a pout. "You only might want me?"

Anders countered with an exaggerated puppydog face. "Well, I don't want to get your hopes up too high if you decide you don't really love me."

Ah, reverse psychology.

She giggled, but only on the inside. She knew what he was doing.

She kept up her pout. "But I love you and I want you forever. I promise to always treat you good. Don't you think I'm pretty?" She batted her lashes.

"Well, yes," Anders said, which was the truth anyway. "You're very pretty. But I'm not sure if I'm ready for forever."

This was partly reverse psychology, but also? Sort of the truth. Which he was just now starting to realize.

She nodded, grinning. "Okay, just a little bit of you for now. How does that sound? I'm not really ready for forever either. But I still want you bad." She said the last pretty loud, just so the god's would hear her. After all, grades were everything.

"Well," Anders said, also pretty loud for the sake of the grade, "maybe we can do something about that, just for starters, huh?"

"Yeah," she said just as loud. "What do you suggest?"

"Nothing that's appropriate for this class," Anders replied, with exaggerated hand gestures. "Might have to wait until later, huh?"

She quirked a brow, "But if we wait till later, then it won't be for this class, will it?"

Anders grinned and leaned in to whisper, "Extra credit."

Her eyes twinkled and she leaned in too, "I didn't know they let you do that!"

"Me neither," Anders replied. "It was a wild guess!"

She laughed. "We're going to ace this class!" And she leaned over further and gave him a quick tight hug.

Anders was briefly surprised by the hug, but he returned it quickly, then held a hand up. "High five?"

"High five!" And she raised her arm and smacked her hand against his.

"Now what? you think we're done? Think they were paying attention to our smooth moves?"

"They better be. If not we might have to do it again," Anders teased.

"And we'll do it even better, that way they'll know just how serious we are about that grade." She nodded.
