Oh blessed beverage...

There are still a few people Isabel really is embarrassed to face after the weekend. Which is why she's in the stacks shelving books.

When Yomiko came in and saw the library open, she shrugged and went to check her e-mail.

Still in the stacks, but now she's dancing to music on her iPod.

"Hello?" Irulan called, entering the library.

Isabel came dancing out of the aisle of biographies and stopped when she saw Irulan. "Oh...hi!" she said, quickly removing the earbuds. "Don't mind me."

Irulan smiled at Isabel, "Hello, how have you been?"

"I haven't died of embarrassment yet, so I suppose I'm doing well," she smiled. "It was close there for a bit though."

"You were affected by this weekend too?" Asked Irulan, curious.

"Oh yes," Isabel nodded. "Definitely affected. It was not fun."

"My consolations." Irulan said, "My roommate was affected as well, she turned into a buxom blond with unfortunate choice of clothing."

"I turned into my evil clone," she sighed. "Who was an utter bitch and wanted only to find someone to screw around with. Thank god she spent the weekend frustrated."

Irulan's eyes widened, "Oh, that is most unfortunate, I am glad nothing came of her plans."

"Tell me about," Isabel said. "It's been bad enough just dealing with what she did do. She was horrible to Jack."

"Jack the Beast?" Irulan said, feeling sort of protective of the Beast she had met only once. "Your Evil Clone must be most unpleasant indeed."

"Jack the Beast," she nodded. "He knocked her out at one point, she was so horrid. But it was probably for the best cause it kept me out of trouble Saturday night. Thank god, he doesn't hold a grudge."

This time Irulan looked concerned for Isabel's sake, "You didn't suffer any injuries, I hope?" She smiled a little, " I do not think he would bear a grudge on you."

"No, I just was out cold for a few hours. I'm not complaining, because if she hadn't of been out, she would have been causing trouble." Isabel smiled fondly, "He didn't. He came and fixed my door Monday morning after he broke the lock getting out."

"He is very sweet." She agreed, a wee too enthusiastic than proper. She looked around the stacks, "Are there any books pertaining to the Roman Empire? I am quite interested in learning how monarchy used to work for Earth and why it is no longer in use."

"He is," she nodded. "He's one of my favorite people in the world."

Isabel walked over to the desk and checked the computer. "The books you'd want are right down that aisle in the 937s." And then she realized that Irulan probably had no clue what that meant. "Follow me, I'll show you."

"Thank you, Isabel," Irulan said, following her.

"Not a problem. It's what I'm hear for." Isabel stopped in front off the approriate shelf. "You'll find what you're looking for here in the 937s." She pointed out the numbers on the spine of the books. "That's a really bizarre reference system that's used in almost all libraries. But it's worked for god, I don't know how long. I'd also suggest reading up on the English crown, or even the Japanese emperor."

"English crown and Japanese Emperor," Irulan murmured committing them to memory. She reached out and touched the spines of the books reverently. These would be considered treasures in her homeworld now. She looked at Irulan, "I think you mentioned a monarchy in your world as well?"

"Yeah," she nodded. "My brother was king. He was deposed."

Irulan looked stricken, "I'm so sorry. That is a fate worse than I could ever imagine."

"Don't be. Honestly. We don't remember it," Isabel explained. "We died in the fighting. Our mother somehow created new bodies for us using human DNA and we were sent to earth to learn to use our powers so we can back and save them."

"Good plan," Irulan said approvingly, "Not only will this ensure loyalty from your supporters but will cement your rights as monarchs. It will also weaken the usurpers claim to the throne thrice over."

"I suppose. Our ship crashed and things kind of went to hell from there. So we don't know that much about where we're from, or our pasts. We don't know how to get back." Isabel shrugged, "We're kind of making things up as we go along."

That is a problem. "If you require any help, I will be glad to offer the services of my empire."

It wasn't hers yet and Irulan was sure her father wouldn't agree but it was better consolidating allies this early and establish diplomatic relations with another kingdom would help them greatly.

"Thank you," Isabel said sincerely. "If, or when the time comes? I'll be keeping you in mind."

Irulan inclined her head. "You are welcome."

"I'll leave you to your research now. But if you need anything," Isabel smiled, "Just give a yell."

"Thank you, Isabel." Irulan said, smiling.

There's only so long you can hide, Isabel's at the desk catching up on her reading for class.

The library is closed for lunch unless you're an aide or the librarian.

Homework is boring.

Since Isabel has class seventh period, she's making sure everything is all straightened up.

Isabel's in Hunting. Perhaps someone else can help you? Otherwise the library is closed.

Angela's back behind the desk for the first time in ... literal months.

She's a teensy bit embarrassed by this.
