Engineering 101, Wednesday Period 2, Lesson Three, January 24

Geordi smiled as the students filed in to his classroom, he was seated at his desk but once his students had sat down he moved around to the front of his desk and sat on the edge of it. “Good morning,” he greeted the class cheerfully once the noise had quieted down.



“Today we’re going to have an overview of the different engineering disciplines,” Geordi explained, “as you can see from these, sheets, there’s quite a lot of them. We’ll be covering some of these in more detail throughout the semester,”

“Now for this class I would like you to pick one discipline that will not be covered in the syllabus and write at lease one paragraph on the field, describing what it is and anything else related to it that you feel is relevant,”

[wait for the OCD is up!]

"Other than the jaw, 'es sir," Cally said. "Anyway I can make up my absence?"

"We covered a history of engineering last week but you can handwavey come by my office after class to get the handouts, and I'd recommend getting notes from one of the other students," Geordi told her, "that will be sufficient enough,"
