Superheroing 101- Tuesday, January 23- 2nd period

When the students arrive in the classroom today, Captain Liberty's looking maybe a little excited. "Okay, realizing that after the radio this weekend, most of you are going to want to hide, you get to spend today dealing with superhero costumes.

"Last week you all got to try to protect your secret identities. Superhero costumes are not only great for doing that, but they kind of make a statement. Hopefully not a bad one," she says. "To help you out, we have a special guest speaker who will help you not suck at this. Hopefully. Please welcome Edna Mode!"

At the end of class, Captain Liberty takes just a minute to say, "And I hoped you all listened well, because the costumes you come up with are going to be displayed at the Superheroing Costume Fashion Show at the assembly in two weeks." She looks really gleeful about that.

Buffy was sketching a uniform that looked surprisingly like the cheerleader uniform combined with vials of holy water, her new cross necklace and more stakes than even she could comfortably carry.

"Hey, Buffy," Seely said softly. "I heard you were in the clinic."

"Yeah, I was..." She frowned. "I think was attacked or something? And mean-me walked me out of the clinic without thinking about crutches." She gave her leg a wry look. It didn't hurt so much, but attempting to walk on it equaled falling flat on her face.

"Attacked? You have any idea who did it?" Seely asked, his voice didn't change but something in his expression went very still.

Buffy shook her head and looked annoyed. "No. I remember... black eyes, I think, and flying through the air. I don't even remember if it was a man, a woman or a horrible beastie."

When she did remember, she was so going to kick whatever-it-was's ass.

"Well, you remember anything else be sure to let me know." That, of course, was assuming that Seely didn't get to it first.

"If there anything I can do to help?"

Buffy smiled. That was such a sweet thing to ask! "Actually, do you think you could sort of run cheerleading practice tomorrow? I'll be there, but with this stupid leg I can't really run around ~~bossing people~~ so much."

Seely grinned. "Sure, Buffy, I'll be glad too."

Of course, Seely's idea of how to run a cheer practice might not coincide with anyone else's on the planet.

Buffy beamed at him. "Thank you! So... What did you do this weekend?"

Seely facepalmed. "I was drunk, Irish, and perpetually horny."

"Um," said Buffy, blushing a little and staring wide-eyed at him. "Ooops?"

"I hit on Door," Seely said. "Drunk Irish me is a jerk. A scummy jerk."

"You hit on... Isn't she your room mate?" The staring continued. "I think I'm really glad I didn't meet you when you were a scummy Irish jerk. ...Though I was kinda a jerk too. I have to apologize to Dawn. And D'anna."

Seely nodded. "She fell for it too, would have slept with him if he hadn't had detention," he said. "He hit on everyone with breasts and a pretty face."

"Why? Did you hit on them?" The idea of which he did not find the least bit pretty.

"No!" Buffy made a ewwwww face. "I was just really bitchy and rude!"

She was somewhat cheered by the thought that it could've been worse.
