Driver's Education - 3rd Period - 1/23

A very happy Deadpool greeted his students as the entered the classroom. He was happy in a way that would make his roommate start digging through his closet to make sure no more slices of lunch meat was hidden back there.

"I hope everyone had a fun weekend," He said innocently. "And I really hope you all took time out of running around town hitting on everything that moved to read over those handouts from last week 'cause guess what kids!"

He paused, as if to wait for any guesses.

"Test time!"

After the test had been taken, he put the driving list on the board and started the lecture.

"Okay boys, girls, mutants and time travelers of all ages, the topic is the speed limit. It's very straight forward, you see the little sign on the side of the road that has numbers on it? You go about five over that," Deadpool said. "You go exactly the speed limit and the cops will be on you like they normally are on donuts or baked pastries of a variety of kinds."

He leaned against his desk and sighed dreamily. "Man, I want a donut now."

Shaking his head to get rid of thoughts of deep fried doughy goodness, he put a poster up on the board labeled: Speed limits in the United States.

"This," He said, holding up a small black device. "Is a radar gun. Don't ask where I got it, I just met the sheriff in town and would prefer to avoid pissing her off before I can ask her on a date."

(Over-sharing with my students is fun.)

"Cops use this thing to figure out how fast you're going, and that's bad. Cops are bad. Got that everyone?"

He held up another device. "This is a radar detector. It lets you know when cops are trying to read how fast you're going. They're fun and highly illegal, so no mentioning this to anyone as well. If you want to go above the speed limit, which as an adult and teacher I must say is bad, you want one of these babies in your car."

"And remember that next week we're meeting in the Danger Room. Shop. Whatever they call it here. We're meeting there for actual driving. Please refrain from crashing the car. Sure, it doesn't really exist, but I'd rather you didn't crash anything nonetheless." A pause. "Unless there's a clown in the road, then you floor it and kill that monster."

Demyx did surprisingly well! Over 50%!

It must've been the weekend of believing he knew how to pilot giant robots.

Conner got a 70% score on the quiz.

He always did firmly believe that the posted speed limit was the absolute minimum you could go, or you weren't a self-respecting driver.

Evie got an 87% and was very unhappy.

She pulled out the book and began studying the ones she got wrong again, biting her lip and looking worried.

Chad grunted. 87%. Not cool.

Somehow, in between losing her powers, getting kidnapped, getting her powers back, finding out her best friend/teammate thought he was a boywhore, and saving the day, Z had found time to study. It helped that she was a born multitasker--or at least, she could make a replicate do it for her.

She got 93%. Woo!

Buffy got 87% and was very proud of herself. (Guessing? What guessing?)

A photographic memory plus a multiple choice test meant Zack had an easy perfect score.

Cedric got 60% on the quiz. He frowned at the questions he'd gotten wrong and vowed to study harder.

Door spent the weekend studying; it's not like she had anything else to do. She missed one question because she couldn't tell the difference between adult stickfigures and child stickfigures rassenfrassen and got a 97%.

[identity profile] bruiser-in-pink.livejournal.com 2007-01-23 06:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Molly was pretty familiar with most of the road signs. She wouldn't have been able to drive her swoop bike across the country without getting caught if she hadn't been. She got a 97% on the test.

[identity profile] dude-its-jude.livejournal.com 2007-01-23 08:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Jude wasn't really surprised that he had passed. After all, he had failed his written test to get his G1 three times before finally passing. 93% had to be his best score yet.

Conner would've been taking notes, but he was kind of brain-broken by the thought of Prof D and Tex.

In a good-scary kind of way. Possibly.

Evie was looking around, glad that no one else she had to apologize to appeared to be in this class. Although she did want to tell Chad that she hadn't been herself when she had the chance.

Chad's...kinda taking notes. Some notes. Most of his attention might be going into poorly done doodles of cars in the margins that reflected the lecture. He particularly liked the one about hitting the clown. Too bad he was probably the only person who would be able to tell that that was what it was.
multiplez: (Z's just resting her eyes.)

Cedric wasn't one to gossip. So, he stayed mostly quiet and took notes.

Jude gulped. How did he know about Josh?

Notes, notes, takin' notes . . . certainly not thinking about Chad in relation to backseats, nope . . . not at all . . .
