Driver's Education - 3rd Period - 1/23
A very happy Deadpool greeted his students as the entered the classroom. He was happy in a way that would make his roommate start digging through his closet to make sure no more slices of lunch meat was hidden back there.
"I hope everyone had a fun weekend," He said innocently. "And I really hope you all took time out of running around town hitting on everything that moved to read over those handouts from last week 'cause guess what kids!"
He paused, as if to wait for any guesses.
"Test time!"
After the test had been taken, he put the driving list on the board and started the lecture.
"Okay boys, girls, mutants and time travelers of all ages, the topic is the speed limit. It's very straight forward, you see the little sign on the side of the road that has numbers on it? You go about five over that," Deadpool said. "You go exactly the speed limit and the cops will be on you like they normally are on donuts or baked pastries of a variety of kinds."
He leaned against his desk and sighed dreamily. "Man, I want a donut now."
Shaking his head to get rid of thoughts of deep fried doughy goodness, he put a poster up on the board labeled: Speed limits in the United States.
"This," He said, holding up a small black device. "Is a radar gun. Don't ask where I got it, I just met the sheriff in town and would prefer to avoid pissing her off before I can ask her on a date."
(Over-sharing with my students is fun.)
"Cops use this thing to figure out how fast you're going, and that's bad. Cops are bad. Got that everyone?"
He held up another device. "This is a radar detector. It lets you know when cops are trying to read how fast you're going. They're fun and highly illegal, so no mentioning this to anyone as well. If you want to go above the speed limit, which as an adult and teacher I must say is bad, you want one of these babies in your car."
"And remember that next week we're meeting in the Danger Room. Shop. Whatever they call it here. We're meeting there for actual driving. Please refrain from crashing the car. Sure, it doesn't really exist, but I'd rather you didn't crash anything nonetheless." A pause. "Unless there's a clown in the road, then you floor it and kill that monster."

The Test
Re: The Test
It must've been the weekend of believing he knew how to pilot giant robots.
Re: The Test
He always did firmly believe that the posted speed limit was the absolute minimum you could go, or you weren't a self-respecting driver.

Or, you know, take notes. Those might be good too.
