Home Ec, Tuesday, 1 period

Today the class room is set up with gas stoves on each desk. The desks also have frying pans, spatulas in every version possible, small sharp knives and a cutting board. There's also a collection of food, just in case you were in doubt of what today's lesson is all about. About 36 eggs, chili, bacon, tomatos, olive oil, butter, green peppers, yellow peppers, red peppers, sausages, cheese, ham, pineapple, oranges and nacho chips.

Emma is standing in front of her desk. It looks a little like all she's wearing is a white apron. On either side of her are boxes. One is full of aprons, the other has recipe boxes.

"Good morning, students. Today we are going to make omelettes," Emma says, determined. She gestures towards the boxes. "Pick yourself an apron and a recipe box. You will use those today and then you will place them in the boxes you decorated last week."

As the students walk past her, she hands out a piece of paper.

"I experiment sometimes," River said. "But mostly with popcorn." She looked at the piece of paper Emma had handed them. "But we should be able to follow instructions."

Jamie briefly looked over the instructions and nodded. "Okay. Well first things firsts. Let's juggle the eggs. That should be an important part of making an omelette."

River looked enthusiastic. "I practised juggling with Valentine a few days ago," she said. Picking up two eggs she threw one for Jamie to catch. "Juggle together!"

Jamie grabbed for the egg... and grabbed it just a bit tad too hard and crushed it.

He looked at the gooey mess and grinned. "Throw me another one!"

But River had already thrown her second egg. Hopefully Emma didn't get in the way of that.

Jamie looked at River and grinned. "Totally worth it."

River nodded solemnly in agreement. "Thrown eggs at teacher. What's next on the list?"

"Well she didn't say anything about juggling the other food items," Jamie grinned. "Or actually throwing them at other people."

"That's true," River said, and attempted to pour a bottle of olive oil over Jamie.

"Oh that wasn't nice!" Jamie laughed as he was covered in oil. He quickly grabbed a tomato and threw in River's direction.

The tomato hit her on the shoulder - River didn't try overy hard to avoid it. She picked up a pepper and threw back at Jamie.

River hid under a table.

[[ooc: Feel free to give River detention, but she won't be herself this weekend.]]

"You said not to throw eggs," Jamie said in a neener-neener tone. "Nothing about the rest of the food groups."
