Flynn sat at his desk again, feet up, waiting for everyone to shuffle through and check in.

On the table near the front sat a small collection of shoeboxes, taped shut.

Once he was satisfied that everyone was present, he began class.

"Understanding computers is not just knowing how to click here, or click there. It's about knowing what your machine
can and cannot do, and it's history of why."

He grinned.

"Computers are logical. They use a system that dates back to the time of the Greeks and Aristotle, only modified
and tasked to suit the technology used today." Flynn got up and stood in front of his desk.

"So today, we're going to study logic. To that end, we're going to have a little fun." he grinned the patented Flynn boyish grin.

"I want you to partner off into groups of threes or twos, and every group gets a box from up here." He gestures to the box. "Inside each box is one
object. Using just your powers of observation and WITHOUT looking in the box, tell me what's inside it."

Flynn looked at their faces. "This means no powers as well, so don't get any bright ideas."

He watched the kids play with the boxes and waited for any of them to come up with an answer.

Rikku popped her hand in the air. "So, what are we allowed to do to the box?"

If only the office hadn't confiscated her grenades...

"Good question." He smiled. "You can do anything but open it up.
You can stare at it, flip it, shake it, and so on... but you can't do anything to actually open it, or cause it to open. You have to use logic to figure out what's inside."

After conferring with Willow, Rikku bounced back up to Flynn's desk. "Hey! Can we have an extra box? I mean, an empty one? Is that allowed??"

Flynn hadn't thought of that.

"Hold on one second." he grabbed an extra box and under the cover of his desk, removed the tape and the mystery object, placing the tape in the garbage and the mystery object in his desk. "Here ya go." he handed the empty box over.

"Great!! Thank you!" Rikku grabbed the box, did a happy little dance, and scurried back to her seat.

Mac made her way up to the front. "Professor Flynn?"

Flynn looked up to his TA. "What's up, Mac?" he smiled as he snickered.

She had to smile a little at that. "Uh, I just thought I should tell you, Cally's not gonna be in class today," Mac said quickly. "She's in the clinic. I didn't know if you'd know."

"No, I hadn't heard that. Thank you for telling me."

Flynn reached into a pocket and pulled out his PDU.

"Clu..."

"Yes, User?"

"Find the local florist and have them immediately send a nice arrangement of flowers to the Clinic for Cally..." he tried to remember Cally's last name.

"Veruca?" offered up Clu.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah." Flynn nodded.

"Professor? We have a guess..."

Flynn looked up and handed over a piece of paper.

"Write your guess on this."

He smiled.

Ami looked and Henry and wrote down 'Big pencil. Long, prism of solid but not sleek material."

Henry folded the paper in half, and handed it to Mr. Flynn.

Flynn unfolded the paper and smiled.
He read the answer the kids had written down and his smile grew even larger.

He nodded and motioned them over to the other side of the desk, where he opened the drawer that contained the mystery object that he had pulled out of the other box.

"Congratulations." He showed them the concealed 3 inch long octagon-shaped block.

Henry grinned at Ami when he saw the block. They did it!
He turned back to Mr. Flynn. "Thank you very much, sir."
