Precisely on time, Darth Vader swept into the room and slammed the door firmly behind him.

"Today we talk about lying," he said, his masked face scanning the faces in front of him as he prowled around the classroom.

"Everyone lies," he stated flatly. "To hide things, to manipulate others, to avoid...unpleasantness." There was a definite hint of scorn in his voice at that last example. "In class today, you are required to pair up and only tell the truth." His cape whirled behind him. "And I can tell if you are not. Such disobedience will result in detention."

He paused for a moment. "And I don't believe in that axiom where if you cannot say something nice, you don't say anything at all. I do not require you to be nice. I require you to be honest." He glanced down at the student roster. "If everyone comes to class today, there will be an odd number. That final person will be interrogated by me."

He crossed his arms over his chest, his mechanical breathing the only sound for a moment. "Name. Place of birth. Classes you are taking," he barked out. "Proceed from there."

Jaye did, but she greets him with "I don't want to do this, so want to just pretend?"

"Ohthankgodyes!" says Draco, sitting up. "I don't know what telling the truth has to with lying at all."

"Exactly!" Jaye says. "And hell, half the time I tell the truth and people think I'm lying, so who's to know."

"And this whole assignment seems a little too much like one of those speed dating things." says Draco "You think Vader is trying to help us get dates for Prom?"

"He'd better not be," she says, frowning. "At least not unless he starts with himself, because he could probably use a date."

Draco nods in agreement. "Either that or a spa day."

He then gets an image of Vader with cucumbers over the eyes of his face mask.

Jaye thinks about this. "The mud bath might be difficult."

"The massage might pose some problems too." says Draco "Maybe when he wants to relax he just heads to a car wash and gets cleaned and waxed."

Jaye is now trying not to bust out laughing in class. "I see drying being a problem. I don't think he's stand for hand drying, but standing there and waiting for the hot air is so tedious."

"And let's not forget the cape. The cape would need special care. Dry cleaning, I'll warrant." says Draco "Only way to get out those pesky cape stains."

"Do I want to know what kind of stains he could get on a cape?"

"Ugh. Probably not." says Draco, grimacing.

Jaye shudders. "I need brain bleach."
