Lana smiled at him. "Hey. So, looking forward to your Gods class today?" She nibbled on the garlic bread and had clearly eaten a forkful or two of the lasgna already.

Jim rolled his eyes. "No. Don't know why I'm in that class, I didn't even sign up for it."

"Really?" Lana looked confused. "I wonder how that happened."

Jim shrugged one shoulder. "I don't know. Must've been a mix-up in the office or something."

"Weird things do happen here," Lana said. "I'm just glad I got all the classes I wanted. And it's nice being in two with you." She smiled at him and took another small bite of lasagna.

"Yeah." Jim grinned, trying not to track every bite of food she ate. "You can help me study."

"Of course," Lana assured him.

"Though," she said with a teasing grin. "I might have to help you from another room. By phone or webcam or something."

Jim looked hurt. "What? Why?"

"Hmmm... Picture the scene," Lana said. "We're sitting together at the desk, books open in front of us, shoulders touching... I'm breathing..."

Jim frowned solemnly. "Ah. Yes. That breathing thing. Always problematic."

"Mmhmmm... And while I truly enjoy the end result of the whole 'Lana is breathing and I'm really turned on'," she grinned up at him. "Studying it isn't."

Jim tried to look innocent. "I'll be good!"

Lana giggled. "We always try to be good. But somehow..."

"You end up being a bad influence?" he grinned.

Lana laughed aloud at that. "Brat."

"That's a new one," Jim grinned. "Well, I can always go study with Blair. I hope his breathing isn't as distracting."

Lana gave him a Look. "Do that and you won't ever have to worry about my breathing distracting you again."

"Whoa!" Jim held up his hands defensively. "No breathing from Blair. Gotcha."

Lana grinned. "Good. I'm the only one who gets to do the breathing thing around you."

"And you do it so well," Jim told her.

Lana smiled at him. "You're not so bad yourself."

She reached out to touch his face, her meal totally forgotten. She just left her hand there for a moment, looking at him and smiling softly. "Love you," she said quietly.

He nuzzled into her hand, pressing a soft kiss to her palm. "Love you, too."

She could feel her heart melt, the way it always did when she was with him like this. "Are you sure I'm not dreaming? 'Cause this... is just too good to be true."
