As the students enter the classroom, they might notice the large number of motivational posters with large slash marks on them.

(Teach those damn kittens to keep hanging in there.)

And they might also notice the man in the red and black outfit, leaning back in his chair with his feet propped up on the desk. He waited until all of the students were in the room before speaking.

"Good morning boys and girls! Welcome to Driver's Education," He said. "My name is Deadpool, call me that or Professor Wilson if you really feel the need to get all formal. Or Professor Deadpool. Oooo! I like that better. Call me Professor Deadpool."

He stood, passing out a syllabus to all of the students before moving back to his desk, leaning against the front of it. "I don't feel like teaching you kids anything today because it's the first class of the semester and nobody ever pays attention to those," Wade said. "Instead, I'm going to learn who all of you are. Unfortunately, not all of us teachers are telepaths and can just yank that information out of your fragile little minds. So I am going to have you all pick a partner, talk with them, and then tell me an interesting or insanely personal fact about 'em!"

At the end of class, just as everyone was filing out, Wade paused. "Oh yeah, my office hours are all day tomorrow. My empty, empty office is always open for your angsty teen drama needs."

Molly made a face. "Vader is a jerk," she said simply.

Door frowns. "He's the Ethics teacher, yes? With the cape and mask? He creeps me out."

Molly nodded. "I got detention for my 'attitude' with him."

"That doesn't sound especially ethical of him."

Molly shrugged. "Well, now you know that I have a problem with authority," she said with a grin. "Professor Deadpool should find that interesting. So, tell me something interesting about you."

Door thinks about it. "Well, I can open locks. Without those lockpick things, though Aly taught me a bit about how to use them, too."

"Oh! That's cool! I didn't know that," Molly said with a grin. "I can open locks without picks too, but it usually means breaking them which isn't the same thing at all."

Door winces. "Not quite, no. They're not keen on being broken, most locks."

Molly raised an eyebrow. "The locks don't like it?" She'd never thought about the locks having an opinion.

It's been a while since Door tried to put the idea into words. "My dad taught me that everything closed wants to open - all we have to do is remind it, or show it how. If you break a lock, it's open, but it can't ever do what it's supposed to again. So it's sort of... unfulfilled."

"Hmm, that makes sense, I guess," Molly said. "Sometimes though, getting inside somewhere or something is more important than fulfilling a lock's destiny or whatever. But, I know how to pick locks now too, so I'll probably be doing that more than breaking them from now on."

"Yeah, I'd..." Door actually does have to stop to consider it, because it's never been an issue. "I'd feel sad about it, but I'd break one too, if I had to. If my gift wasn't working for some reason. Aly told me I should think about learning to pick them just because if you have a magical talent, you should always learn how to do things without it, just in case.""
