There are platters of Christmas cookies and a pitcher of punch on a table in the front of the room, and Elliot is wearing a green elf cap and earrings shaped like Christmas tree balls. "Hey, happy final day, happy four-days-until-your-break day. Have some cookies."

"There is a test at each of your seats; you have 30 minutes to complete it. After that, please turn to the pamphlet and pick a lab you would like to do. You don't need to complete it -- the time's really tight -- but I do expect you to show off proper lab technique as you choose and set up the experiment."

"Next semester I'm teaching an anatomy class, in case any of you want to keep going with me. If you don't, think of me next time you carve up a defenseless animal. Either way, I'll try to post your grades by Saturday."

1. One is a frog circulatory system and one is a pig's.

3. The pollen is the sort of genetic material that leaves one plant for another in order to pollinate it and create other plants. I could explain it slightly more technically but you'll turn red.
