He grinned and took the roll of paper towels, then walked carefully to the front door. Once he was outside, he scraped off as much pie as he could. "I have, but I'm not sure that would help," he said as he came back inside. "Knowing Fandom, they'd just start raining up, or from inside the umbrella, and then I'd look even dumber than I do now."
"I'd offer you a taste, but that way lies madness," he said with a laugh. "And that's a thought. Being covered in pie wouldn't be so bad if..." and he trailed off, staring into space with a smile on his face.
"I'm gone. And it'd be much for fun if they used their hands. Or...nevermind." He grinned at her, then said seriously, "Keep yourself safe. I don't want have to do an Orpheus and come looking for you."

He'd only made it a few steps when a series of pecan pies bounced down around him. "Stupid pies."
