Hermione is still there, still studying. And this time when she goes to correct her notes, the pen turns on her and starts writing up and down her arm. "Stop it," she says in a nice calm library voice, only the writing becomes more insistent.

She grabs at it, but the pen is stronger than she is and keeps writing no matter how hard she tries. And when her arm is covered with writing, it moves on to the other arm. Hermione swats at it, trying to make it stop, and finally grabs the pen, throws it on the ground, and stomps on it until it stops moving.

She's really concerned about the appearance of having writing all over her arms before a final, but she's still got some time to cram so she sits down and goes through her notes really quickly one more time before she has to flee for class.
