Intro to 21st Century Pop Culture - Monday, Fifth Period

As the students entered the room, Lorelai handed out candy canes. Once everyone was in and settled, she began speaking.

"I want to thank you all for being such a great class. I've had a lot of fun teaching you all this semester and I hope you learned a lot that will help you get by while you're here. Today is your turn to teach me. Everyone will have a turn to give a presentation on a form of pop culture from their home time or place."

She sat back with a large cup of coffee and a tablet to take notes on the presentations.

"Back in my day, there's a lot of plays. Sophocles, he's one of the big ones. I once saw... oh, I don't remember the name, but there was so much blood and swordfights, it was the best thing ever. There was this centaur, he was the star... Dustin Hoofmanus, that was his name. He was great. And, and, and... oh, there's a lot of plays? Did I mention there were lots of plays?"

Okay, he really hadn't prepared.

At all.

Joxer stammered for a second, then continued at the coaxing of some other players.

"Oh, oh. I did a little research, and here are the names of a few of the popular plays. Ummmm, there's 'Faster Chakram, Kill, Kill', 'Buffus the Bacchae Slayer', 'A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Acropolis', and 'The Women Of Trachis'."
