Fandom, it seemed, never did things in halves. The weather had defied the mainland again. The snow was only light today, and the temperature not too cold (this wasn't Alberta or Antarctica - not that you could tell the difference between the two this time of year), but the local forecast was for light snow all week. If it stuck, and it would no doubt, there was going to be a White Christmas in Fandom this year.

But that was only the half of it. Fandom seemed to know that it was finals week. Books were randomly flying off desks and attacking people with their pages. It wasn't too bad though. The worst that could happen is a few papercuts and some blunt trauma.

Well, for the books that didn't have teeth anyway.
