[Media Studies & Communication: Week 11, 4th Period]

When everyone had filed in, Logan was putting out art supplies and copies of the poster books they'd had last week on everyone desks.

"Hey, guys," he greeted them, moving to sit at his desk again. "Today's a fun exercise, I hope."

Logan gestured to the supplies. "Last week we talked about propaganda and how it works as a tool for influencing opinions with biased information.

"Today, you get to put that to work. Choose the topic, your audience, how you want to skew your information, and then create a poster designed to convey that. If you need any suggestions, take a look at some of the techniques listed on the handout from last week."

Chatter chatter chatter.

Dean looked over the handout and doodled a little, trying to come up with an idea.

Jaye might be muttering something that sounds like "Shhh. Shut up." at her purse. Unfortunately, her purse is on the floor by her feet, so it might appear that she's moved on from purse-talking to self-talking.

Finally she sighs and turns to Dean. "So, cooking?"

Dean looked up from his doodling. "Huh?"

"Thanksgiving cooking help me and oh yeah, hi," she says, waving off that last part.

"Oh. Right. Sure, I can give you a hand. Especially if it means less chance of Thanksgiving dinner being takout pizza."

"Cool. And what does everyone have against pizza? she asks. "It's not like I'm talking about the frozen kind."

"Pizza's great," Dean told her. "Just not for Thanksgiving. There's the whole implied 'slave over a hot stove' that needs to be there for a real Thanksgiving dinner."

"Yeah, I'd rather not do anything that involves the word 'slave,'" she says. "Besides, Molly agreed to do that stuff."

Dean grinned. "Cool. Always good to have extra help. I can probably get Sammy to help too.. although we might not want him to as he's all germy."

"He can wear a mask like he's Michael Jackson, or a surgeon or something. If it's one less thing for me to worry about, I'm good with it," Jaye says. And she's organizing Thanksgiving. Wow.

"Do you have a turkey?"

"I think Isabel was mentioning something about it," she says. "I'm not a hundred percent she's going to be around, but hey, if need be, can you help me tie Parker to a chair or stuff her in a closet so Isabel can stay behind to help?"

"What does Parker have to do with Isabel being able to help?" Dean asked, confused.

"I think they're supposed to be going somewhere together? I'm not really sure, but I don't see Parker slaving over anything, whereas Isabel's already thinking Christmas cookies."

"True -- Parker doesn't strike me as the cooking type. More the hire someone to cook for her. But maybe just invite her to the dinner we're making -- then she won't be trying to drag away our turker procurer."

"Hm. That's an idea," she says. "I'm not not inviting anyone, because I'll probably have some sort of horrible karmic downfall I'll regret until the end of time or something, but a personalized invitation to let the Organization Queen stay could be a good thing..."

"Personalised invites could smooth a lot of things. If you give one to the principal for example, maybe you can get the school to provide some of the stuff too," Dean suggested. "Also, will give you brownie points with authority."

"Ooh!" Jaye says. "I suck at kissing ass but I can make an effort if it means there's less to pay for!"

Dean grinned. "Always look for ways to make other people pay for things," he told her.

"I thought I was an expert, but I have so muchs till to learn," she says, shaking her head at herself.

D took her supplies and, er, created art. Really. Those weren't pointless loops and line, honest. *cough*

Sam knew she wasn't at all artistically inclined. She also didn't know what she wanted to say yet, and was pretty much ripping out pages that looked interesting.

Mac isn't really that artistically inclined, well, not with paper and pens anyway. So, she's pulled out her laptop and is busy designing her poster in photoshop instead.

Kawalsky's poster ended up being entirely red with big letters that said "GUNS ARE KEEN."

He's the subtle type.
