Library [11/15]

Bridge, fully recovered and armed with coffee, shuffles in to the library to open it right on time.

He's spinning in the spinny chair. Because he needs to test the spinny-ness after being holed up in his room for a week. Or something.

And now he's just wandering the stacks randomly, searching out errant books.

He's back at the desk, balancing books of various thicknesses on his head. Yes, he's that bored.

The boredom continues as Bridge shamelessly abuses office supplies to construct a chain out of paperclips.

As usual, library's closed for lunch unless you work here. Also as usual, Bridge is expecting one person in particular to show up.

Bridge is... totally doing homework, yeah. And not looking up random videos of silly things on YouTube. At all.

And now he actually *is* doing schoolwork, as it's sixth period so he's reviewing his Hunting notes.

And now he's off in Hunting. Perhaps someone else can help you out?

"Good morning, Bridge," Ms. Readman said as she dragged her briefcase into the library. "How are you this lovely morning?"

"Pop Tarts!" Rory announces when she reaches the desk. "I have Pop Tarts, which are part of a balanced breakfast, so they're okay food."

Oh, look, it's Rory hanging out in a library. Shock. She's around if help is needed.

Zuko entered the library. He hesitated for a moment as he wasn't sure if someone balancing books on his head could be in charge of the library, but there didn't seem anyone else around so he moved over to the desk.

Noticing Zuko, Bridge sits up straighter, careful to keep the book balanced. "Can I help you with anything, dude?"

Keeping an eye on the book, Zuko nodded. "Yes. I need... DVDs of movies with sword fighting."

"Okay," Bridge says, turning to the computer to do a keyword search. "I'm Bridge, by the way," he adds. "I don't think we've met. Unless we have in which case you already know my name."

"We haven't," Zuko assured him. "I'm Zuko."

"Oh!" Bridge *almost* bounces, before remembering there's a book on his head. "Peter's friend. Cool." Glancing back at the computer, he adds: "I've got a whole big list of movies with sword fighting. There's the Space Battles movies which don't technically have swords, but Staffs of Light which are big... energy-sword-things," Bridge waves vaguely. "The Princess Bride, which is kind of awesome even though it's a documentary. King of the Bracelets..." Bridge goes on to name a bunch more movies. "Those work for you, dude?"

Zuko nodded as he recognised the titles Peter had brought up yesterday. "Yes, they should do," he paused for a moment. "How do you know that I know Peter?" Not that he was suspicious or anything.

"We were discussing the use of trebuchets that would fling fireballs against the evil marshmallows," Bridge explains. "He said you were a warrior who used fire, so you'd know whether that was a good idea or not."

"Evil marshmallows?" Zuko frowned, he thought he'd heard of marshmallows they seemed to be a food thing. "But yes, I am a firebender."

"Totally evil," Bridge nods. "They con you into eating them and then when you least expect it, launch an attack. What's firebending? If you don't mind me being curious. If you do mind feel free to tell me to shut up because I'm being too nosy, okay?"

"If you ate them, they can't attack you anymore," Zuko pointed out.

It was tempting to just tell him to shut up, but he hadn't exactly been keeping it a secret. "It means that I can control fire."

"That's pretty awesome," Bridge says, impressed. "I wonder if your aura looks different because of that," he ponders.

"You read auras?" Zuko asked.
