If you were looking to talk to the Chef, don't bother. He's currently hiding underneath one of the tables. And if you were looking to talk to Das Schnitzel? Don't try that either. She was currently roaming the cafeteria with a large mallet, looking to hit the Chef over the head in hopes of reversing what she called his "Gilligan-itis".

"Zee Skeupper is tryung tu keel meeee!" cried the Chef.

Today's Menu:

-Chicken Pot Pie

-Tomato Soup

-Caesar Salad

-Chocolate Pudding

Chad consider this a moment. "Has it been more than you can count on one hand?" he asked, holding up his massive paw as if to demonstrate. His fingers may have twitched slightly as he was going over that same thing in his head, but trying to make it seem like he was doing no such thing.

Shawn had already shoved a forkful of food into his mouth, so couldn't respond right away. He did nod however.

Once he'd swallowed it he confirmed it, "Yeah, I have managed that much. You?"

Chad nodded. "Yup. I think that you're good, so long as you've gotten that far."

"Plus, now I can add you to the ranks of the known," Shawn said poking at the pot pie with his knife. "That gives me an extra mark in the plus column today."

"Same for me. Keep this up, I might have to take off my shoes. But no one wants that."

Shawn raised an eyebrow. "Yeah, 'cause that really might scare all the people trying to be sociable away," he said, grinning as he put another forkful of food into his mouth.

"Not to mention those trying to eat." He slurped his spoonful of soup gravely.

"It'd make everything taste a little of cheese, I would've thought," Shawn commented. "Which so long as you were eating macaroni cheese would be just fine." He paused then added, "I'm not so sure about chicken pot pie, though. So it might be wise to keep the shoes on for the moment."

Chad nodded in agreement, and noted the suggestion that, should he feel the need to go barefoot all day on a whim, to make it macaroni and cheese day. And he actually would go barefoot all day on a whim, especially now that the idea was planted into his head.

"Can't argue there." Sluuurp.

Shawn smirked, he hadn't known the guy long, but he definitely liked his attitude. "Glad to hear it," he said polishing off yet more chicken.

Another nod, and Chad finished off his second bowl of soup by holding it in his hands like a cup (it almost looked like one, actually, by comparrison) and drinking from it. After all, eating was generally more important than talking.

Then again, everything was kind of more important than talking for Chad.
