As the students enter into the Dangershop, they'll see that it has been transformed into what appears to be a New York City police Station.

Lorne grinned at the students and shut the door just as a disembodied voice announced:

"In the criminal justice system, the people are represented by two separate yet equally important groups: the police, who investigate crime; and the district attorneys, who prosecute the offenders. These are their stories."

Then there is a noise that's best described as:

DOINK-DOINK

Lorne smiled a toothy grin. "Congratulations kids. You're under arrest."

He has a warrant for each student listed:
Jack Harkness
Zuko
Teddy Altman
Sam Winchester

"Oh?" Dean asked curiously, reaching over and stealing one of Sam's chili dogs. "Least they're feeding you well."

Sam made a face at Dean and pulled the rest of his lunch closer to himself. "Want to trade places then? You can spend the rest of the afternoon here and I'll head out."

"You want the other Dean if you're looking for someone to be able to pass for you, sorry," Dean said with a grin around a mouthful of food.

"You really seem to take such delight in being a pig sometimes," Sam commented, smirking. "One of these days, you're going to get detention without me, and we'll see if I help you out then."

"If I need help, yeah you would," Dean said with complete assurance. "Just like would if you did. Though you seem to be doing okay so far. And you still haven't explained the orange jumpsuit. Although, given Lorne's usual wardrobe..."

"Apparently, I've been 'arrested' and they have 'evidence' against me for grave crimes against humanity or something. Someone's a big police drama fan, I think. ~~*DOINK DOINK*~~" Sam gave Dean a playfully sad look. "You'll come visit me if I end up in jail, right?"

"Better. I'll come break you out," Dean promised. "Like that tv show with the brothers -- Escappe From Jail? Though I won't be getting any maps tattooed on me."

"You could just memorize the maps," Sam replied, sounding totally confident. "And it's not like we don't know how to make fake IDs and new identities for when we break out."

"Yeah. And how to hustle for money," Dean added with a grin. "I wonder if Dad realises he's trained us not only to be Hunters, but how to be fugitives from justice if we ever need to be."

Sam laughed. "I imagine he doesn't like thinking about that part. Although I bet it's crossed his mind at least a few times between the two of us."

"Hell, he'd probably break us out himself," Dean said. "Of course prison would probably be preferable to what kind of punishment we'd get for landing in it so we might not want to go."

"Staying in prison probably would be the safer option there. I'd suggest that we use the fake identities to hide from Dad, but there's no way he wouldn't find us."

"Yeah, he's just way too good. Guess our best bet is to never get caught in the first place."

"Or to not do anything bad," Sam said, grinning.

Dean chuckled. "Let's not ask for miracles here."

"Yeah, I guess not." Sam finished eating and glanced at Dean. "Hey, I know I should have said this sooner, but thanks for coming by."

"Hey, I'm your big brother. It's my responsibility to check up on you, make sure you're doing okay. Also to take any potentially embarrassing photos," he teased. "You and Dawn going to the cabin reunion campfire thing tonight?"

"Oh, well I'm terribly sorry that I couldn't provide anything too embarassing," Sam replied. "And I don't know, it depends on how cold it gets tonight. We might just stay in."

"Dude, if it's cold, that just gives you the perfect excuse to share body heat if you know what I mean," Dean said with a leer.

Sam rolled his eyes again at Dean's look. "Or we could continue the fine tradition of sharing body heat in our warm, comfortable room."

"Wimp."

"Oh? Let me put it this way. If we go to the campfire, we'll both have to dress warmly, possibly in many layers, before we can attempt to stay together for warmth. If we stay in our room, where we will probably both end up reading on my bed, we'll already be warm, which means Dawn will most likely slip into something thinner, smaller, and far less layer-like." It's possible that was a satisfied grin Sam was sporting.

"Sammy!" Dean exclaimed, a wide proud smile splitting his face. "I'm impressed. There may be hope for you yet."

"Just because I don't act on things as quickly as you do doesn't mean I can't enjoy paying attention to how pretty Dawn is," he replied.

"There's paying attention and then there's paying attention. I was starting to think you'd never get around to the second."
