Friday Assembly/Recital

The auditorium stage has been transformed into a series of moving sets and curtains. After the students and faculty take their seats Lorne steps out and waves to the crowd. "Hey all you groovy cats and kittens out there! Thanks for coming today! All my music students are very excited to perform for you today and can't wait to get things started. So without any more delay? Let's light this firecracker!"

"I do not sing with my feet, nor do I dance with my mouth," Willow replied. She gave Peter's hand a squeeze, just 'cause.

Peter laughed and squeezed back. "Good to know."

"Just wanted to clear up your confusion," Willow said.

"Obviously it was very important, yes," Peter agreed. He grinned. "So Parker has to sing. She seemed pretty embarrassed about it."

"Marie doesn't get to sing," Willow said. "She's got to man the lights. She was really nervous about it."

"Why doesn't she get to sing?" Peter asked, confused. "She's brilliant."

"Apparently as TA it's her job to be tech girl," Willow said. "I thought it was unfair myself. I offered to help out with a computer program to man the lights or something but apparently it wasn't allowed.

Peter frowned. "That's beyond silly."

"I'm fully in agreement," Willow said. "Of course we are talking about the school that has detention lotteries. Logic may not only be scarse, but possibly illegal."

"True, but it's not like detention is truly that awful," Peter pointed out. "Mainly silly."

"I still don't know if I'm fully convinced that it doesn't go on your record," Willow said. "I know Cameron swore that it doesn't, but still."

"I'm sure if my Stickbug Brother said so, it has to be true," Peter said with a grin.

Willow smiled at him. "I like that you're loyal."

Peter laughed and squeezed her hand. "I like that I have people to be loyal to."

"I like that I'm one of those people," Willow said. "I also like that I'm the one who gets loyalty with smoochies."

"Well, you're prettier than any of my Stickbug Brothers," Peter teased. "Even Gregette."

"Why do I suspect you're darning me with faint praise there?" Willow teased back.

"Because you're overly suspicious?" Peter asked, still teasing.

"True, but I was going for having seen Gregette in action," Willow said. She leaned over so that she could be closer to him. "If you have free time this weekend I might have free time this weekend. And if you wanted our free time could become a beautiful Venn diagram of snuggling and being together."

"You are a beautiful and very strange girl," Peter replied, kissing her cheek. "I have no idea what a Venn diagram is, but if it involves you and me being together, I'll agree at once."

Willow gasped with the kind of delight that Peter might remember from the days of Punnett squares. "You don't? Oh I'll teach you! Okay, snuggling, us-time, Venn diagram lessons. It's a plan."

Peter shook his head at her, still amused. "I am, as always, your willing and most humble servant."

Willow glanced around to make sure no one was looking, then snuck a quick kiss. "And I'm your girl."

Peter kissed her back. "And I'm your knight."

"Which would be why I'm smiling," she told him. She then put her head on his shoulder and made herself comfortable to watch the show.
