Friday Assembly/Recital

The auditorium stage has been transformed into a series of moving sets and curtains. After the students and faculty take their seats Lorne steps out and waves to the crowd. "Hey all you groovy cats and kittens out there! Thanks for coming today! All my music students are very excited to perform for you today and can't wait to get things started. So without any more delay? Let's light this firecracker!"

Zero took the stage, wearing a plaid, knee-length skirt, combat boots, and a black t-shirt she had almost completely covered with little silver safety pins. The poor shirt would never be the same, and also, it could probably double as armor in a pinch. Those watching closely would see a pained look cross her face before she began to sing her song in a manner quite unlike what Ms. Spears had probably intended.

There was headbanging. Oh, yes, there was headbanging. And a plea to the audience, so listen carefully.

Parker applauded from the wings, and chuckled at the PSA. There was a *reason* Zero was the leader of a band, after all.
