Friday Assembly/Recital

The auditorium stage has been transformed into a series of moving sets and curtains. After the students and faculty take their seats Lorne steps out and waves to the crowd. "Hey all you groovy cats and kittens out there! Thanks for coming today! All my music students are very excited to perform for you today and can't wait to get things started. So without any more delay? Let's light this firecracker!"

Pete was wearing, you guessed it, another copy of the same outfit. He was staring at the back of his lollipop as though it held the answers to everything.

Actually, it just had the lyrics taped to it.

"Those little eyes so helpless and appealing
one day will flash and send you crashin' through the ceilin'," he said. Hey, he didn't know the tune very well.

Jamie wasn't looking at his lollipop. He was going through the motions of some silly dance step and not really paying attention to where he was going.
