Detention [Saturday, October 14, all day]

The Danger ~~Room~~ Shop had been configured into a series of stark detention cells.

Vader checked off the names of the students as they entered detention and wordlessly pointed them to their own room.

"You will sit in there for a period of time and think about what you did to get in here," he growled as the interrogation droid that his Ethics students would recognize hovered behind him. "And if you are not feeling as...repentant...as you should be, you will continue to stay in that cell all. day. long."

The doors slammed shut behind each student, leaving them in darkness.

OOC: ETA: I have plans for tonight, woe, so I will pick up all hanging pings in the morning. Your characters got out of detention around 5 o'clock Fandom time and Vader was pissy all. day. long. Thanks for playing!!

The room was dark and a creaky, ancient voice came from the throne at the far end. "Lord Vader," he croaked. "You have failed me."

Blue lightning arced from his fingers directly towards Billy.

Billy braced himself and grunted in pain as the lightning hit. He couldn't decide if his father's Brain Wave Scanner hurt more or less. It was a different kind of pain.

Except here he didn't have the benefit of sitting strapped in a chair, so he fell to his knees. He gritted his teeth, not willing to give Vader the satisfaction of a scream.

"On your knees," the Emperor hissed, sending another bolt of lightning out. "You should be grateful I don't kill you. I've killed everyone else."

I am on my knees. Billy's jaw hurt from the effort to keep his mouth shut against the pain. Oh yeah, familiar ground there.

"On your knees you shall stay," the Emperor spat, "until I decide if you get to keep them. How will you correct this monumental blunder of yours, Lord Vader? You have...five seconds."

"Make sure the new Death Star isn't so easy to destroy." Billy decided.

The Emperor snarled and lightning flashed from his hands again.

The world went white...and Billy would find himself walking down plush carpets towards an ornately decorated door again.

"He's not pleased, my lord," the twitchy officer next him said. "The destruction of the Death Star..." he trailed off ominously.

As soon as Billy reached the door, the officer fled.

Billy sighed, and just for the hell of it, tried out the little button on the side of the stick.

*snap hiss*

Woah, coolest, thing, ever.

Another press of the button and the blade deactivated. He wanted one.

All right, let's get this over with. he entered, hit his knees and bowed his head.

Again, gritting with the teeth to keep from crying out.

"You should be grateful I don't kill you. I've killed everyone else," the Emperor hissed, aiming more lightning towards Billy.

"I, I am gratefull." Billy grunted. He thought breifly of reporting Vader harming students to the administration, but dismissed it. As if they didn't know what they'd hired.

"How will you correct this error?" the Emperor snapped.

"Find the one who destroyed the Death Star and make sure they never interfere again." Maybe that would work.

"That is obvious," the Emperor replied. "We have discovered the planet that released the Death Star plans. You will go there and exterminate every man, woman, and child. There will be consequences, Lord Vader."

Billy looked up at the Emperor, and rose to his feet.

"No." he growled. "I will not be what you are." Yeah he probably wasnt' talking to the simulated scary guy in the cloak now. He might not even be talking to Vader.

The Emperor shrugged. "Then you will die," he said, and struck out with lightning again.

The world went white and the program shut down.

"Saying no to the Emperor is fatal," Vader said. "Detention is over. Leave now."

Billy didn't leave right away. He looked at Vader with a strange mixture of respect and disgust.

"The rumors about you are true aren't they."

"Depends on the rumor," Vader said.

"That you've murdered a lot of people, including a student."

"The student wasn't a student any longer," Vader snapped harshly. "And yes."

He crossed his arms over his chest. "Which might make you rethink disobeying my command to leave. Now."
