Detention [Saturday, October 14, all day]

The Danger ~~Room~~ Shop had been configured into a series of stark detention cells.

Vader checked off the names of the students as they entered detention and wordlessly pointed them to their own room.

"You will sit in there for a period of time and think about what you did to get in here," he growled as the interrogation droid that his Ethics students would recognize hovered behind him. "And if you are not feeling as...repentant...as you should be, you will continue to stay in that cell all. day. long."

The doors slammed shut behind each student, leaving them in darkness.

OOC: ETA: I have plans for tonight, woe, so I will pick up all hanging pings in the morning. Your characters got out of detention around 5 o'clock Fandom time and Vader was pissy all. day. long. Thanks for playing!!

After a few moments spent in darkness, the door slid open and the interrogator droid came in, humming menacingly.

It was there to record your name and what you did wrong.

If it decided you didn't seem suitably sorry, it would leave you in the cell for a while longer.

The cell door slid open to show you a table. On it are three objects--a Stormtrooper helmet, a pilot's helmet, and a lightsaber.

Choose one--you will be either a Stormtrooper, an Imperial pilot or a Sith Lord for the rest of the day.

Mwhahaha.

Darth Vader didn't eat, so he didn't think anyone else would either.

There's no lunch.

Bitch as much as you want to. He's not going to change his mind.

The second half of being a Stormtroooper, a pilot or a Sith Lord.

Okay, here's the way this will work. If you choose Stormtrooper or pilot, you will be able to work with other students who choose the same career. Sith Lords will work alone.

You'll be re-enacting various parts of Episode IV, hahahaha, and it's completely possible for the scenario to play out in a lethal way (especially if you choose Sith Lord, because, yeah). This being the Danger Shop, the program will reset itself and your character won't actually be physically harmed.

You are released from detention if you successfully complete the missions for your particular job or are killed three different ways.

Vader's kinda hoping everyone dies. He's petty like that. Have fun! Ping me down here for questions.

"Hi, Clyde," Rory said, awfully cheerful for someone who'd spent a few minutes in the dark. False bravado was fun. "I'm here because I insulted Darth Vader a time too many, I guess."

Clyde tried to process the concept of "insult" and "Darth Vader."

He moved closer, trying to see how sincere the subject was being.

"And I'm sorry," Rory said.

Which was true. She was very sorry she had earned detention.

Clyde accepted this.

The door slid open.

"Bye, Clyde!" Rory said with a small wave as she headed out.

Rory peered at the objects on the table. She automatically avoided the lightsaber since knowing Vader, it was best to steer clear of weaponry.

The white helmet looked like the ones the troopers in town wore, and they were kind of weird.

The other one, however, reminded her of Vader's helmet, and she gingerly picked it up and placed it on her head. Hell of a way to try to see things through the enemy's eyes, so to speak.

The room shifted around her and Rory would find herself in a briefing room surrounded by other pilots. "We've received word from Grand Moff Tarkin that the technical readouts for the Death Star have been stolen," the man standing in the front of the room began. Under the professional veneer, there was a definite note of fear in his voice. "The thief hasn't gotten far, though."

A schematic of a ship--an X-Wing--flashed onto the screen behind the commander. "We need to destroy this ship before the information can get to the Rebellion." He clapped his hands together sharply. "To your ships! And if you don't destroy the Rebel ship..." his voice trailed off ominously. "Lord Vader will be most displeased. It would be better not to come back at all."

Rory snorted inside her helmet, because "Grand Moff Tarkin" was pretty much the most unfortunate name she'd ever heard.

She collected herself, however, and straightened up before following the other pilots out. Most of them seemed to know where they were going.

"I'm Naomi Wildman," Naomi said, trying not to look to freaked out by the fact that she'd just spent a few minutes in the dark but she wasn't succeeding very well, "I'm here because I'm one of the detention lottery winners,"

Sitting in the dark? Not so much. Zuko was playing with a flame when the doors slid open. The most he had been thinking about was that Peter was wrong and this really was like a prison.

He looked up as the ball hovered inside and wondered what the hell that thing was. "I am Zuko, son of Ursa and Fire lord Ozai. I am sorry I got caught."

Jaye frowns at the droid, then waves at it. "So I just won the lottery again, but if I'd had more time..." She holds up a felt flag, with "VADER (HEART) V" on it in silver glitter. "Black glitter is not that common for some reason."

Have to go in to work for a couple hours, but will be back and pinging before noon my time. With gusto, even. Or something. *is v. tired yes*

Jamie pondered this for a while.

"Well I tried to make a very angry person happier by painting his office. And offering ice cream. I also tried to be like him and he didn't like that either. So if my crime is anything? It's trying to care too much about a teacher."

Bel eyed the interrogation droid. He could take it out with a fireball easily enough. Or shimmer out.

"Belthazor," he said. "I'm here because Zuko set the stupid sprinklers off. I'm sorry he did it and got me stuck in here."

Like there was any question of what Bel would take. He wanted to take the lightsaber for a spin.

Bel didn't bitch. He pulled out his cell phone and ordered pizza.

The interrogator droid had heard a lot of excuses for why people were in prison. "Lottery winner" had never come up.

He hovered closer, trying to be more intimidating.

The interrogator droid noted the sincerity in the prisoner's voice but had no idea what he had done wrong.

So he hovered and waited for further information.

The interrogator droid had been programmed without a sense of humor, sadly. It had also already heard the "won the lottery" excuse. Perhaps this was a new Rebel plot.

He hovered closer, shiny needle glistening, well, shinily.

The interrogator droid had not been programmed with an extensive inner monologue vocabulary, either.

Zuko blinked as the droid didn't do anything. He wondered what would happen if he tried ducking underneath it and making a run for it. He kept that as plan B.

"It's not like I knew they had those shower things right in the middle of the room," he continued. "It's a weird place to put them."
