Detention [Saturday, October 14, all day]

The Danger ~~Room~~ Shop had been configured into a series of stark detention cells.

Vader checked off the names of the students as they entered detention and wordlessly pointed them to their own room.

"You will sit in there for a period of time and think about what you did to get in here," he growled as the interrogation droid that his Ethics students would recognize hovered behind him. "And if you are not feeling as...repentant...as you should be, you will continue to stay in that cell all. day. long."

The doors slammed shut behind each student, leaving them in darkness.

OOC: ETA: I have plans for tonight, woe, so I will pick up all hanging pings in the morning. Your characters got out of detention around 5 o'clock Fandom time and Vader was pissy all. day. long. Thanks for playing!!

Rory flung herself into a ship as well, and called, "Yeah, how pathetic."

It sounded fake even to her, but she didn't have time to think about it as she shot out into space.

"Here they come," her wingmate called just before swarms of X-Wings came over the horizon line of the Death Star.

The X-Wings seemed aimed at a particular trench. Strange.

"I don't want to go in there," she groaned.

But she did dip down into the trench, squeaking into her comm the whole way.

An X-Wing in front of her was paying more attention to where he was going than who was behind him and his wingman was busy fighting off two TIEs of her own.

He was in a perfect position to be taken out.

"Sorry, Lukey," she whispered.

Then she fired. Kind of a lot.

The ship exploded into a shower of sparks.

"Behind you!" he wingman snapped through the commlink.

Rory flipped her ship upside-down to look and fired almost blindly.

She had no idea what she was doing, no.

The world went white as an X-Wing fired a laser stream at her tail...and Rory was back in the middle of a hallway as dozens of pilots went racing past. "The Rebels are attacking the Death Star!" one yelled to her. "We've got to stop them!"

Rory sighed and flung herself in her ship again, flew out, and wondered where she went wrong.

"The Rebels are attacking a space station with snubfighters," her wingman said with a snort. "They must be desperate."

He yanked his helmet on and raced out into space. "Hurry!" he called. "Lord Vader's going to see to this personally. We want to get a chance for glory before he takes care of them all."

"Right," Rory sighed, shooting after him. "Will he reward us well?"

"He won't kill us in nasty ways," the pilot replied, "so I'll take it."

The swarm of X-Wings came up over the horizon line. "Here they come," he said. "Stay sharp."

"I'm going in," Rory called over her commlink, and zoomed down into the trench from before.

There were three X-Wings in front of her zooming down the trench. The two in the back were obviously there to provide additional shields for the one in front.

The ship on the left was falling behind and drifting into the range of Rory's guns.

Funny, that was the one she immediately locked on and began to shoot towards.

The ship's left wing melted and it drifted into its wingman. Inside the trench, there was no place for the other X-Wing to go and it exploded as well.

The debris headed towards Rory's TIE fighter. If she didn't move quickly she'd explode.

Rory shot straight up, frantic to avoid the debris.

She flew back into a starfighter dog fight. "Break left," her wingman shouted as two X-Wings came up behind her intent on revenge for their fallen comrades.

Rory whipped left and sped off, not exactly certain where she was going but hoping to lead the X-Wings off with her.

Her wingman took out the first of the X-Wings as they tore off after her, but the second one was closing fast.

Rory swerved hard left, trying to lose the X-Wing.

Her wingman took out the other X-Wing as well, then exploded against the Death Star when his dive proved to be too steep to recover from.

If Rory looked around, there were only three X-Wings left--and they were beginning their final assault on the trench.

Rory felt a twinge of sadness for her wingman, then rounded on the other three X-Wings, opening fire and trying to fly in a zig-zag.

The X-wing on the right exploded. "Biggs!" a very familiar voice cried through the comms.

Vader was very, very evil.

"Oh no," Rory whispered.

She flew in erratic patterns, trying to distract them without having to shoot.
