Detention [Saturday, October 14, all day]

The Danger ~~Room~~ Shop had been configured into a series of stark detention cells.

Vader checked off the names of the students as they entered detention and wordlessly pointed them to their own room.

"You will sit in there for a period of time and think about what you did to get in here," he growled as the interrogation droid that his Ethics students would recognize hovered behind him. "And if you are not feeling as...repentant...as you should be, you will continue to stay in that cell all. day. long."

The doors slammed shut behind each student, leaving them in darkness.

OOC: ETA: I have plans for tonight, woe, so I will pick up all hanging pings in the morning. Your characters got out of detention around 5 o'clock Fandom time and Vader was pissy all. day. long. Thanks for playing!!

The officer led Bel to the captured ship. A very nasty hole had been blown into the side of it and bodies were strewn across the floor. "This way, my lord," he said, picking his way through the wreckage.

A older man, sweating heavily, was being held up by two white-helmeted Stormtroopers. "I won't tell you a thing!" he stuttered.

Bel conjured a fireball and bounced it on his hand. "Then you obviously have something to hide," he said. "I haven't even asked you anything yet, but you're prepared to hide it. Why don't you make it easier on yourself and just tell me where the plans are?"

"No," the captain said stubbornly. "We're a consular ship on a diplomatic mission to Alderaan!"

"Riiiiiiight," Bel said. His hand shot out and he seized the captain by the throat. His other hand brought the fireball close enough to his face so he could feel the heat. "Last chance. Where are the plans?"

The captain squeezed his eyes shut. "I won't say."

"Fine, your funeral," Bel said, squeezing his hand and snapping the captain's neck.

He turned to his troops. "All right, those plans are here somewhere. Find them, or you'll end up like the captain here. And he said that this is a diplomatic mission? There must be diplomats aboard. Bring them to me."

The Stormtroopers didn't seem all that surprised to have a dead captain on their hands. "Yes, my lord," they said, filing out into the hallway.

Fifteen minutes later they returned with a young woman dressed in white. "Princess Leia Organa, my lord," the one holding her said.

"Lord Vader," she sneered. "Only you could be so bold. The Imperial Senate will not sit still for this."

"Tell them to bring it on," Bel said. "Oh, wait, you can't, because you're going to die if you don't tell me where the plans are."

The princess rolled her eyes. "If I had a credit for every time I've heard that, I'd buy my own Star Destroyer. I'm a Senator on a diplomatic mission to Alderaan and you can't touch me."

It should've scared Bel how easily he fell back on his training, but this was only a simulation, right? He shrugged, then drew back his hand and backhanded the princess.

"What was that? I can't touch you?" he sneered.

Leia's cheek turned red as she glared at him. "You will pay for that," she said.

"Look around you, Princess," Bel said. "There's no one here to make me pay. Nobody who is even gonna care about the screams I'm going to make you make. You're all alone and you're going to die if you don't tell me where those plans are."

"I'm going to die anyway," she replied, "and if I die and you still don't get what you want, I'll die happy."

Bel laughed. "You're gonna be praying for death by the time I'm done with you," he said. "I can make you feel pain you've never imagined. You'll beg me to finish you off." He looked at his officers. "Take her to an interrogation cell. Time for some fun."

The program shut down, and Vader stood there, nodding.

"She would never have broken," he remarked.

Bel shrugged. "Would've been fun trying," he said.

Vader's cloak rippled as he shrugged. "I watched as her planet was destroyed in front of her eyes. She still lied."

"Some people just won't crack, no matter what," Bel said. "I've run into one or two of them."

"Kill them early," Vader advised. "It saves time."

"I'll keep that in mind," Bel said. "So what's next? Or are we done here?"

"There is a second exercise when you're ready for it ~~in the second thread, yay~~," Vader replied.
