Science! (Thursday, 7th Period)

Ms Frizzle waited for her class and Ellie's astronomy class on the front steps of the school. The bus waited patiently behind her, looking suspiciously like a very normal school bus. Ms Frizzle, as usual, looked nothing like a normal science teacher. Moons and planets adorned today's dress, with dangling Saturns for earrings. Her hairstyle was different today, though. Curling buns on either side of her head. When everyone had arrived, she bounced in place before throwing out her arms.

"Good afternoon, everyone! Class, I'd like you to welcome Ms Arroway's astronomy class, who will be joining us for today's field trip! Last class we were talking about the water cycle on the planet Earth. I think it's time we expanded our focus a bit." A worrying smile that should be getting familiar to her students spread across her face and her eyes lit up. "Everyone to the bus!"

Molly turned from the view and smiled as Luna. "Hi, Luna. This is cool, isn't it?"

"It is even better than when Harper Hornhoff hex his ears onto the portrait of Ceres in the second floor hall!" Luna agreed.

Molly blinked at Luna and grinned. "I'll have to take your word on that," she said.

"Yes, please do!" Luna bent down to touch the surface below them. "I always thought it would be shinier."

Molly looked down at the surface. "It does look much more silvery from Earth."

"Have you found a souvenir yet?" Luna asked as she inspected some dust that had collected on her gloved fingertips.

"I don't think I'm going to take one," Molly said. "The rocks just look like rocks. Who outside of Fandom would believe me that they were moon rocks? That would be the only reason I would take something. To prove I was here. I'll always know I've been here. I don't need a rock to remind me."
