Fencing Club, 5pm Salle

"Good afternoon, everybody," Peter said with a grin as the group assembled.  "Hopefully everyone's recovered from the colourless weekend and no one else has turned into a puppet man?"  He may have looked far too amused at the last.

"Today I thought we could start having those of us who have studied for a while demonstrate their particular style of swordwork for everyone else.  Then we all have a bit of familiarity with each other's forms and perhaps see how they'd mesh.  Perhaps one demonstration a week for a while until we either run out of volunteers or there's something else that catches everyone's interest.  For today, Sakuazaki," he bowed to her, "has agreed to demonstrate her bladework for us."

"After that, we can pair up and work out or spar as the mood takes us.  As always, if you have any questions or concerns, let me or Hamlet know.  If you'd like to volunteer to demonstrate your style, let me know as well."

[OOC: If your character would prefer to be asked to demonstrate, ping me in the OOC thread, and Peter will be happy to solicit their help.  After the demonstration, pair off as you like and chatter or spar as you wish.  Wait for the OCD, please. is up!]

Willow waved. "Hey, Pippi. Mind if I steal some of your warm-up moves? I'm trying to get a variety."

"Sure, I learned this one from Pip."

"Thanks," Willow said. She watched and did her best to follow along. "That was kind of him to teach you."

"Yeah." Pippi said doofily. "He's a good guy... He said this was more for knife fighting, but still a bladed weapon, so it counts, right?"

"I'm of the opinion that if the muscles are warm, it counts," Willow said. "Of course gym was never one of my best classes, so this personal philosophy may need to be taken with a grain of salt."

"I never bothered warming up for anything before I came here. So your guess is as good as mine. At first I just started doing it to keep from getting bored while everybody else warmed up, but I think it does help actually."

Willow nodded. "Me neither but it keeps Peter from being cranky."

"You warming up keeps him from being cranky? Or him warming up keeps him from being cranky?"

"Me warming up," Willow said. "I think he's convinced that somehow between now and the end of him teaching me swordwork I'm going to fracture my uvula or something."

"Well... It's nice of him to be concerned that you're able to do all the things a person with a heathly... uvula can do..."

"He's sweet like that," Willow agreed. She tried more stretches. "So are you and Pip still one wordy?"

[ooc: going afk for a bit, back later]

"I'm not sure if we actually started bing one wordy." Pippi mused. "But we're still having fun together."

"Fun is good," Willow said. "I support a pro-fun platform."

"Yes. Fun is fun."
