As the students come in, they'd find Alanna staring suspiciously at a point on the ceiling and possibly glaring a bit. The gym is in it's usual set up, with mats spread on the floor and a table with a sign in sheet, snacks, and drinks off to the side. Once everyone is there, Alanna begins talking.

"Okay, Self Defense. Personally? I am of the opinion that if you don't know how to protect yourself physically, your best method is to simply avoid confrontation or run really, really fast." She handed out a pamphlet as she talked. "This offers you various ideas on how to get out of a confrontation without any violance. In a perfect world, they work. But then again, in a perfect world you wouldn't be in a situatino that needed self-defense.

So you can't walk away from the situation, what now? Defending yourself? Is a good idea. Protect your head and stomach since that's where all the major organs are. A limb can be fixed. Brain damage? Not so much. If your attacker is a guy? Knee to the groin is always a good one. Works for girls too, but doesn't hurt as much. Slapping two both hands on someone's ears will leave them dazed enough for you to get away. If the person grabs you from behind a strong step back into his insole will cause him pain. Girls? High heels are very painful when stabbed with, especially those thin ones that I always fall over when I wear.

Don't bring in any outside objects into the fight, they'll just get used against you. Remember, your goal is not to take your attacker out, it's to keep yourself alive until help arrives or to get away.

Today? Pair up. One of you is attacking, the other being attacked. You should try to talk/whatever your way out of the situation first. If you need a scenario? Dark alley way in the seedy part of town. There is padding in the back if you're afraid your partner will cause you bodily harm. Again, if Mr. Winchester or myself tell you to break it up? Break it up. Same goes for Faithful if/when he shows. Any questions?"

Teddy thought about it. "Attacker?"

"Okee dokee." Billy said, attempting to look helpless. the eye patch didn't help.

Teddy sighed. This was going to be like mugging Nick Fury, only bad things could come of it.

He circled Billy so he was at his back and then lunged, arms open to grab at his midsection.

Billy dropped, bending at the knees and cathing himself on his palms. "Sorry," he said, remembering they were supposed to try to avoid violence. "Am I in your way?"

"No, not any more," Teddy said with a grin.

He stood back for a minute, trying to figure out what to do next. "I suck at this attacking thing, don't I?"

Billy flipped back to his feet. "Depends on who you were attacking."

Ninja! The little fanboy in Teddy danced with glee.

"How about you attack me?" Teddy suggested.

"All right." Billy said. He tried to think of a likely situation. "Take a wrong turn there blondie?" he asked, trying to look menacing. "This here's `private property`." Yeah it sounded stupid to him too.

Teddy tried really hard not to laugh. Honestly.

"I don't want-" Giggle "-any trouble-" Snicker "-honestly."

Billy pictured the Dreadknocks giving a collective groan. "Somethin' funny?" he growled, channeling each one of those bikers. He got up in Teddy's face, looking ready for action.

Teddy took a step back and resisted the urge to grow a bit taller than Billy.

"Nothing at all," Teddy said, not looking Billy in the eye.

"Sure seemed like something was funny. Sounded like a regular laugh riot." And now maybe he was channeling a certain drill instructor.

Teddy frowned, Billy was a little bit scary right now.

"Look, I don't want any trouble."

Billy wasn't sure if he was required to actually attack. "Well looks like we got ourselves a bit of a misunderstanding. Tell you what I'll do blondie, this here's a dangerous area. But I can give you safe passage...for a price."

"Are you hitting on me?"

Teddy was genuinely confused now.

Billy burst out laughing. No way could he keep up the act in the face of that. No wonder he kept getting caught when trying to be a spy.

Teddy grinned, "So if I ever get attacked by scary rednecks, I should accuse them of hitting on me?"

"Oh, and I think we both suck at this attacking thing now."

"No that might just make them stop with the intimidating banter and go right for the beat down." Billy said.
