Chad shrugged. "Well, I hope you get it figured out soon. If there's anything I can do to help..." He trailed off a bit.

He lays his head gently on the lunch table, looking lost. "Thanks anyways.."

Chad wasn't sure if would be a good idea, if it would make Ranma angrier or not, but he really didn't know what else to do and he wanted to seem at least a little bit comforting. So, not without a good deal of awkwardness, Chad gave Ranma's head a few light pats. "It'll be okay," he assured him.

He blushes. But it does make him feel better. He's still underneath the pats, he doesn't flinch or move away.

Chad can only pat a few times before he starts feeling very silly and awkward. He brings his hand back to his tray. "Want any more of these fries? I'm about done."
