Ms. Readman was juggling her briefcase, a travel mug of hot tea, and a wheeled bag when she opened the library Monday morning. Somehow, she managed not to drop anything, although it was a close call when she tried to flip on the lights with the hand holding her tea. It was a relief to be able to set everything down and collapse behind the desk to wait for students.

Ms. Readman sipped her tea and idly read through a volume of poetry that was waiting to be reshelved.

Second Period

Ms. Readman was at the computer. She'd just discovered Project Gutenberg. Why had no one told her about this before??

Third Period

She was still at the computer, but she looked less gleeful and more stressed now. That might have something to do with the open e-mail window in which she was trying to compose a report to her superiors. They still didn't believe her.

Fourth Period

After sending off an e-mail that boiled down to, "No, really, this town is weird," Yomiko decided to reorganize the DVDs housed behind the collections desk.

Lunch

The library is closed for lunch. Ms. Readman took her peanut butter sandwich into her office to eat.

Fifth Period

Ms. Readman was back behind the collections desk reading Lermontov's A Hero of our Time.

Sixth Period

[agentthepaper]

Yomiko wandered off into the stacks to shelve things, but if you ring the bell on the desk she'll hear it.

Seventh Period

Ms. Readman wandered around tidying up the library before the end of the day.

Edward wandered in later in the day, looking decidedly sleep-tousled. He paused for a moment, turned around once in a complete circle, then headed decisively for some of the taller shelves.
