Energy and Fitness Friday the 29th

The class was back in the gym that week. Yondaime had wheeled in a white board and written in large letters the word 'STAMINA' and sat in front of it as he waited for everyone to arrive with a smile on his face, feeling happy that he hadn't seen any of the frogs for a while.

"Good morning class! Glad to see everyone here bright an early as always," he grinned and motioned for everyone to take a seat on the floor. "Today we're going to be talking about stamina, which is your body's natural physical energy. Everyone has a different level of stamina but through physical activities and exercise you can build up your stamina and of course the opposite is true as well, don't exercise and you loose it." Yondaime shrugged figuring that it was all relatively simple to figure out. "The hard part is that over the course of this week until the next class I want each of you to figure out what your level of stamina is," he said as he began to hand out the sign up sheet that he forgot about before.

"The one catch, you must decide what you're going to do as a team and test each other then present the results to me next class. You can choose any sort of activity to test yourselves providing that it isn't sleeping, sitting, or something like it. It must involve movement, something that gets your heart rate up and going and try to choose something that can be shared with the rest of the class," the blond smirked and got up to his feet adding that last as and after thought. "You've got an hour to come up with something and present it to me. So have fun guys, I'll be here for questions."

[OOC:Wait for OCD Class is up and going!]

S.T. Anders. No explanation needed, shockingly.

Anders, who liked to think of himself as a stamina expert, hung around waiting for his team. He had tons of ideas as far as test activities. And they weren't even dirty.

Alphonse, who didn't spend much time thinking about their assignment but was still kind of clueless, wandered over by Anders. "Anything on mind?"

Setsuna yawned and stretched a little while waiting for her teammates. She was having a little trouble thinking of a way to test stamina that didn't involve marathon sex fighting tournaments, like the last Mahorafest...

...but she certainly wouldn't have minded such a thing. She did take second place, after all.

Jim probably wouldn't have anything to really add to the conversation. At the moment, Jim was looking distracted and vaguely terrified. He did, however, manage to say 'hello' to his teammates.

"Any ideas?" Setsuna asked idly, with a slightly quirked brow for her teammate's seemingly disturbed appearance. "The only thing that comes to my mind is making a commitment to doing a run around the island every day, and to compare our progress, or lack there of, in speed and aftermath."

Her eyes narrowed slightly. "But that seems far too obvious."

Edward leaned against a wall and waited to see if his team-mates would show up. Not that he had any idea what to do for this assignment, stamina hadn't been something he ever worried about.

"I'm guessing running around the island is too simple?" Cameron asked as he joined his teammates.

"Way too simple," Edward replied. "And it's boring, too. But then again most stamina-related things are. We could always go climb trees or something."

Re: Discussion

[identity profile] cameronmitchell.livejournal.com 2006-09-29 10:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Cameron considered it. "Definitely less dull, but it seems a bit hard to time each other on or to keep track of improvements."

Re: Discussion

[identity profile] alchemic-bean.livejournal.com 2006-09-29 10:56 pm (UTC)(link)
"Okay, screw the tree-clumbing then. How about rock-climbing? We can time how fast it takes to get up and down."

Re: Discussion

[identity profile] cameronmitchell.livejournal.com 2006-09-29 11:03 pm (UTC)(link)
"Like Galactica Point? That would be a challenge."

Re: Discussion

[identity profile] alchemic-bean.livejournal.com 2006-09-29 11:27 pm (UTC)(link)
"Exactly. It would be a bit different every time, and easy enough to time." Edward shrugged. "I prefer climbing to running anyway."

Re: Discussion

[identity profile] cameronmitchell.livejournal.com 2006-09-29 11:29 pm (UTC)(link)
"I go running every day, so a little variety is definitely welcome," Cameron agreed. "We'd need the right gear, though. I don't feel like breaking a leg right before Homecoming."

Re: Discussion

[identity profile] alchemic-bean.livejournal.com 2006-09-29 11:56 pm (UTC)(link)
"Gear?" Edward looked confused by this. "We need gear to rock-climb?"

Re: Discussion

[identity profile] cameronmitchell.livejournal.com 2006-09-30 12:33 am (UTC)(link)
Cameron raised an eyebrow. "It's safer."

Re: Discussion

[identity profile] alchemic-bean.livejournal.com 2006-09-30 01:09 am (UTC)(link)
Edward scratched the side of his head. "Ah. Well, I've never used 'gear' to climb anything before, so I haven't a clue where to get any."

Re: Discussion

"We can ask Yondaime," Cameron suggested.

Cally looked around, hoping her teammates would have better ideas than her.

Cause she had none.

"Well, there's always running. We could run a long distance. But that sounds like it could be a bit boring."

Re: Discussion

[identity profile] deanforrester.livejournal.com 2006-09-30 11:49 am (UTC)(link)
Dean thought for a second. "We could...I don't know, jump rope?"

Re: Discussion

[identity profile] cyclopeanmerc.livejournal.com 2006-09-30 03:32 pm (UTC)(link)
"...That sounds mildly less boring, I suppose, but without the advantage of seeing the island. Swimming?"

Re: Discussion

[identity profile] deanforrester.livejournal.com 2006-10-01 10:22 am (UTC)(link)
"That'd definitely be cool, if we're allowed." Dean nodded, pleased.

"Do laps at the pool," Pip nodded. "Cally, what do you think?"

Re: Talk to Yondaime

[identity profile] deanforrester.livejournal.com 2006-09-29 03:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Dean walked up to Yondaime a little sheepishly. "Um, hi, sir. I missed class last week for a family thing, and I just wanted to check and see what I missed?"

"Great, thanks. I'll just, uh. Get back to it, then," he said with a small smile, walking off to find his team.
