Self Defense Club

A few mats have been laid out in the gym, and pizza and lemonade stood on a table off to the side. Once everyone had come in, Alanna clapped her hands together a few times to get people's attention.

"Welcome to Self Defense people! I'm Alanna, this is Faithful, and this is Mr. Winchester, our sponsor. Rule number one? If one of us tells you to stop/freeze/do something, you do it. My goal is to have zero injuries this semester. Rule two: you hurt someone on purpose and you're going to wish you never met me." Alanna smiled sweetly. "This week we are just going to do the introducing and mingling thing, but next week? Wear comftorable clothes."

"I'm Door." Which of course Alanna knows, but most of the others wouldn't. "I'm a Junior, and I'm here to learn to protect myself, which will be something of an issue if I go back home -- or if what's at home tries to follow me here. I've got a little bit of training the kick, bite, knee them in the crotch and run style of defense, but I could use more." She looks down at her fingers. "An interesting fact...oid. I can kill with my hands, but I'd rather not."

It's hardly a piece of party trivia, but it seems only fair to let people know.

"Like you have the arm strength to kill someone, or some special Gift or magic or something?" Alanna casually perched on a desk.

"Very few um..." Alanna fished around for the right phrase. "Gifts, magical abilities, whatever are actually meant to be used for that. It's not the tool, but the person who weilds it, right?"

Door nods. "I'd do it again if I had to, but I'd rather not. It's not that I wouldn't kill to protect myself or somebody else, just... not that way, if I can help it."

Door shakes her head. "No, or I'd not have mentioned it. My family were killed; the ones who did it were hunting me." She shrugs. "They may have been human, once."
