Damn the Man Club, Wednesday 5pm

Canceling a club meeting on it's very first night didn't seem like a good plan. So even though Blair didn't feel up to it, he was sitting on a desk in the computer lab.

"Okay, welcome to Damn the Man Club. I think we should start out by introducing ourselves and what who we think is The Man." Blair smiled and started. "I'm Blair Sandburg and I think The Man is a person or persons in power who value the power more than anything else and use it to keep the little people down."

He waited for everyone to finish and pointed to the whiteboard behind him. "This club is going to be focusing on educating people about The Man and then trying to fight against him with what we have available. Protests, petitions, sit-in's and boycotts are just the some of the ways we can make a difference. But I want to hear what ideas you guys have or any instances where you think we should step in and do something."

Nadia was watching Blair for signs of ill effects from sleeping on the floor.

"I'm Nadia Santos and the Man is Irina Derevko, duh anyone in a position of power who does something that you wish they wouldn't. 'He' is quite often blamed for even more than what 'he' actually does. The Man is the ultimate enemy and scapegoat, because the Man could be said to be anyone." Nadia gave Blair a look. "Including Blair, since he's in charge of this club."

"But if the person in charge doesn't act like The Man then maybe it's okay." Blair smiled at Nadia and tried to not look like he was sore.

"But power corrupts. So the person in charge has to be very, very careful not to let his power get to his head, thereby giving the people reason to label him 'the Man'."

"Hello!" Evie waved at everyone, then said, "I'm Evie Carnahan. And, um. I'm not quite sure who this Man is, but I'm very worried about pollution and the environment and such. And Blair's my Big Brother. So I thought this would be a good thing to do."

"Hey little sister." Blair smiled and gave her a small wave. "Sorry about missing your culb last night."

"Oh, that's all right. We just discussed preliminary plans. We'll have more to think about next week. And you rather look like you have an excuse," Evie added, studying him worriedly. "Do you want some ibuprofen? Or Tylenol? Or perhaps some ice?"

"Awww, thank you Evie." Blair shook his head with a smile. "I'm okay. I'll be there next week with bells on, okay?"

"Jane Smith." Parker's lips twitched. "Planning on damning the man from the inside. And maybe the best way to thwart the Man is to raise money for causes he doesn't approve of. The fundraiser for teal deer that Angela and Zero did last spring was pretty successful."
