Damn the Man Club, Wednesday 5pm

Canceling a club meeting on it's very first night didn't seem like a good plan. So even though Blair didn't feel up to it, he was sitting on a desk in the computer lab.

"Okay, welcome to Damn the Man Club. I think we should start out by introducing ourselves and what who we think is The Man." Blair smiled and started. "I'm Blair Sandburg and I think The Man is a person or persons in power who value the power more than anything else and use it to keep the little people down."

He waited for everyone to finish and pointed to the whiteboard behind him. "This club is going to be focusing on educating people about The Man and then trying to fight against him with what we have available. Protests, petitions, sit-in's and boycotts are just the some of the ways we can make a difference. But I want to hear what ideas you guys have or any instances where you think we should step in and do something."

"My name is William Kessler. And for the most part I agree with Blair, but the Man is also anyone who subvert the people's desire for change, in order to gain power for himself."

"Blair what the hell happened do you?"

"Went on a trip to the library with Dr. Wilson." Blair said.

*blink*blink* "This happened, in the library?"

"No, on the way back. We got attacked by demons while we were off the island." Blair said. "Man, we're lucky they waited till after the library. Can imagine the damage to the books?"

Billy? Still confused. "Wait, which library was this?"

"Not the one in school." Blair spoke slowly. "Dr. Wilson let me tag along to this hospital that had a large research library and on the way back these demon biker guys attacked us."

Nadia was watching Blair for signs of ill effects from sleeping on the floor.

"I'm Nadia Santos and the Man is ~~Irina Derevko, duh~~ anyone in a position of power who does something that you wish they wouldn't. 'He' is quite often blamed for even more than what 'he' actually does. The Man is the ultimate enemy and scapegoat, because the Man could be said to be anyone." Nadia gave Blair a look. "Including Blair, since he's in charge of this club."

Bikers. Oh boy. "Are you okay? Why'd the attack you? I mean, other than they were bikers?" No he wasn't ignoring the Demon bit, just the biker bit seemed more important for some reason.

"I still think we should put up those 'think' posters all over the place. Really quiet like. Late at night. So that everyone just kinda sees them in places when they get up, and have no idea what they're for or what they're supposed to think about. I think that could start up a lot of curiosity and good communication and really get people's attention."

"I'm fine, man." Blair nodded. "I think they were after Dr. Wilson in order to make Aziraphale upset or something."

[*facepalm* Sorry about not replying to your message!]

"But if the person in charge doesn't act like The Man then maybe it's okay." Blair smiled at Nadia and tried to not look like he was sore.

"But power corrupts. So the person in charge has to be very, very careful not to let his power get to his head, thereby giving the people reason to label him 'the Man'."

"Yowch. How'd you get away?"

~~don't want billy to know Aziraphale is an angel just yet.~~

"Which is why people in power should surround themselves with people who can call them on any 'Man' like behavior."

"But the person in power might grow to resent that, making him more likely to desire to keep the 'little people' he's surrounded himself with down."

"By way of driving into a river first, then Aziraphale and Bel showed up."

"Then the surrounding people should overthrow The Man or at least videotape him being mannish and force him to watch it over and over till he gets scared straight."

"Have you ever seen a political coup, Blair? Usually the leader doesn't just get tied to a chair and forced to watch what he himself does. And being scared straight is rarely a peaceful process."

"You planning a coup here, Nadia? Because I'm thinking you should try to do a nice peaceful one."
