Yomiko opened up the library and set up a tray of pumpkin-chocolate chip muffins from J, GOB's behind the collections desk for the library aides. Then she sat behind the desk and started trying to make a list of ways to make the library more fun for students.

Angela wouldn't turn down food; she took one and delicately bit into it. "Thanks," she said, swallowing. "Pumpkin always tastes like fall to me."

"And it is fall now," Yomiko said. "These seem slightly strange to me, though. Pumpkins at home are green."

Ripe?," Angela asked. "Because I've never seen green pumpkins except when they're growing."

She leaned against the counter, studying Yomiko. "Where is home for you?"
