Detention, the Danger Shop 9/16/2006

When the students entered the Danger Shop, they would most likely notice that the room was just about empty.  Except for seven chairs and a whole rack of costumes and table of accessories.  Aly was perched on the table with a clipboard of names.

Once everyone was seated, she looked up and grinned.  "Well, then, since you were so gracious as to come spend your Saturday with me, welcome.  I have three things for each of you to do today.  You're going to need to get the information, carry out the instructions, and then answer the question."  She looked amused.  "To do the first, you'll have to blend into the crowd.  So after you all tell me your names and why you're here, I'll give you your assignment.  You'll want to dress the part then we'll go from there."


[OOC: Detention should last until from 9am-5pm EDT.  I'll be afk from about 4:15-7EDT but I'm more than happy to keep playing after that if you want to.  As a disclaimer? This is quite possibly all silliness.  If you have any questions, get me on IM: spymasteraly]

Sadly bright red hair made it difficult for blending. Especially since Aly couldn't help but keep a discreet eye on the person under the hair. She handed her a sheet of folded paper. It read:

Your contact is at the event of the season: the Duchess of York's ball. He will be wearing a boutonniere of two white rose buds and one red. The code word is 'determination.'

"Let me know if you have any questions or when you're ready," Aly said.

Alanna assumed 'Can I die now?' was not an acceptable question and simply nodded her head.

It would have been a perfectly acceptable question, but the answer probably wouldn't have been. Aly gestured towards the rack of costumes and clothes, quirking a smile. "You probably won't blend in too well in blue jeans."

Alanna didn't glare, really as she went to pick out a dress. She did mutter under her breath. "I hate dresses. I hate dresses."

Alanna didn't wonder what she had done to Aly as a child to deserve this. Really. She just put the dress on and hoped that she wasn't grinding her teeth hard enough to break them.

Aly realised she ought to have remembered that Alanna never did have a sense of humour. Then she did grin because she remembered that was her purpose.
