Detention, the Danger Shop 9/16/2006

When the students entered the Danger Shop, they would most likely notice that the room was just about empty.  Except for seven chairs and a whole rack of costumes and table of accessories.  Aly was perched on the table with a clipboard of names.

Joxer
Teddy Altman
Pip Bernadette
Walter Dornez
Blair Sandburg
Alanna Trebond
Layla Williams

Once everyone was seated, she looked up and grinned.  "Well, then, since you were so gracious as to come spend your Saturday with me, welcome.  I have three things for each of you to do today.  You're going to need to get the information, carry out the instructions, and then answer the question."  She looked amused.  "To do the first, you'll have to blend into the crowd.  So after you all tell me your names and why you're here, I'll give you your assignment.  You'll want to dress the part then we'll go from there."

[OOC: Detention should last until from 9am-5pm EDT.  I'll be afk from about 4:15-7EDT but I'm more than happy to keep playing after that if you want to.  As a disclaimer? This is quite possibly all silliness.  If you have any questions, get me on IM: spymasteraly]

Walter headed into the bar Aliane had set up for him and started looking for the barmaids to try to determine which had a purple petticoat.

"Ale would suit," Walter said and took a seat at the bar while he continued to try to spot that purple petticoat.

Layla walked around for a bit, trying to get a layout of the area, before going to her assigned corner to wait. She tried her best to look inconspicuous, like she stood on street corners all the time not dirty.

The man may not have noticed her, but luckily, she noticed him.

"Hey mister," she called, trying to get his attention. "Can you help me? Um, I need help finding the lamb." She would have added a little wink in there, but she wasn't sure if that would help.

So Joxer was looking for a parade. A parade should be easy to spot, yes? Even for Joxer?

One would hope so. But it's very possibly he'd get distracted by a cute puppy or a shiny penny.

"Puppies!" Joxer said, watching them. He had this nagging feeling in the back of his head that he was supposed to be looking for something else.

But... puppies!

Pip entered the pre-set tea room and looked around for a woman with a string of pearls while he personally wondered what on earth a nosegay was.

Pip swept the room, starting by looking for people with pearl strings.

Alanna hovered at the party, a drink uncomftorably in her hand.

Alanna glared at anyone who smiled at her and finally decided that moving might make this torture go by faster.

Teddy stood outside the saloon and looked for a chestnut horse first. What exactly was chestnut? He saw a lot of brown horses and even one that was white with brown splotches.

How the hell was he supposed to know about these things? He was from New York! He thought that horses were attached to the carriages and lived in Central Park.

He sighed and stepped into the saloon.

Teddy looked around the place and tried not to grimace at the tobacco being spit in various directions. He acted like a big ol' spaz casually walked to the bar and began to look around the room for a man in a blue checked shirt.

And despite coming from an entire race of shape-shifting spies, Teddy was completely devoid of anything resembling such grace in this type of situation.
