If the classroom looked a bit like a discount Swedish furniture store had exploded inside of it, well...at least the projectiles were now easily replaceable.

Which might be a good thing.

Precisely on time, Darth Vader swept into the room and slammed the door firmly behind him.

"Today we talk about lying," he said, his masked face scanning the faces in front of him as he prowled around the classroom.

"Everyone lies," he stated flatly. "To hide things, to manipulate others, to avoid...unpleasantness." There was a definite hint of scorn in his voice at that last example. "In class today, you are required to pair up and only tell the truth." His cape whirled behind him. "And I can tell if you are not. Such disobedience will result in detention."

He paused for a moment. "And I don't believe in that axiom where if you cannot say something nice, you don't say anything at all. I do not require you to be nice. I require you to be honest."

He crossed his arms over his chest. "Name. Place of birth. Classes you are taking," he barked out. "Proceed from there."

Stark looked around for a partner. Telling the truth wasn't going to be that difficult, right?

Elizabeth was calm and collected. Really. Not flailing at all at this assignement.

"Need a partner?" she offered casually.

"A partner would be good, yes." Stark nodded ~~and hit LJ for the lack of comment notification~~. "Otherwise I would just have to tell the truth to myself."

"Um, my name is Stark. I was born somewhere in the Uncharted Territories, at least I think I was, and I am taking Constant Vigilance, Ethics, World Religions, Cross Species Communications and 21st Century Popular Culture. You?"

"My name is Elizabeth Weir and I was born in Hartford, Connecticut," said Elizabeth. "I'm taking Ethics, Instellar Relations, World Religions, Media Studies and Communication and Biology."

So far, truth wasn't too difficult.

"Are you liking classes so far?"

Elizabeth nodded enthusiastically. "I like classes," she said. "I like learning different things and I get bored if I don't have enough to do. How about you?"

"It's good to have things to do," Stark agreed. "And everything has been interesting. But I think most classes here are."

Elizabeth nodded. "What's your favorite class?"

"So far...Cross Species Communications, I think. Went to the park this week and talked to dogs. But the rest are good too. You?"

"Interstellar Relations," said Elizabeth immediately, grinning. "Although, yeah, all the rest are good as well."
